Normally Closed. Fits Victory motorcycles 2005 and up..
This is a Normally Closed switch with continuity between the posts when on the bench (or in your hand). When the plunger is pushed in, the circuit opens. When installed, the switch is engaged (plunger pushed in) and the circuit is open. When you pull the lever, the plunger extends and the circuit is closed (lights on). This part does fit Victory motorcycles. It only varies from the OEM switch in that it does not have splash guards over the holes in the bottom. That's no big deal, IMO, but that's why I docked it one star.

N.C. NOT N.O.
I need a normally open. I assumed this was. It is NOT. Unfortunately, it is NORMALLY CLOSED! Wrong for my application but the amazon descrption DOES NOT MENTION THIS! Buyer beware.

Fit on my 2018 Honda Grom
Way cheaper than the dealer in my area wanting to charge me $30 for a new front brake light switch. I purchased a honds grom with a broken switch. (the switch was literally broken and hanging off) decided to purchase this as a replacement and it works great! Excellent price! the little rubber covers fit tight but they do fit!

Works great on a 2013 Super Tenere
This is a bit smaller than the OEM, but fits just right. Always close as others have noted, so be certain your motorcycle has that kind of switch. Your brake lever will push in the switch when not braking, releasing and closing the switch when you apply the brakes.Connectors are closer together than OEM, but still enough clearance for the plug.

Worked as a replacement for the Kawasaki brake light switch
I was looking for a brake light switch for a 2001 Kawasaki and this was suggested as a replacement for the factory part. It installed easily and fixed my problem.

Fits DRZ400, good price.
Perfect replacement for a broken switch on my Suzuki DRZ400SM. Only the switch is included, need to use screw and wiring from the bike. This switch had 2 open vent holes on one side that are just open, on my (broken) OEM switch those holes have little shrouds....I hope that doesn’t mean this one will fail early, but for the price I’m not too worried.

Check numbers. Even if your bike is 36 years old and amazon lists it as a fit
Absolutely useless. Does not fit, finding part numbers is difficult on a 36 year old bike, don't take Amazon matches for a fit

Works on the Honda grom!
Bought this for my grom when the stock one broke randomly. This is a good and inexpensive alternative to paying the "OEM Honda" Markup. It bolted up and connected perfectly. the switch itself is slightly different from OEM, but it works just the same.
