Was easy to put up - just install a small bracket with the two screws that came with the hook - and then put the hook unit on the bracket and tighten down a small set screw. The finish of the chrome wasn't as shiny as the other chrome items I have in my bathroom, but it's close enough. The design of the base is similar to that of my other fixtures. I'm happy with my purchase.

The installation process here is fairly easy. Attach the mounting plate (with the provided screws), partially unscrew the bottom screw in the actual hook, set it over the plate, and then screw the partially unscrewed screw in-place. Of course, for us, there was a bit of measuring involved since we attached it to a door. (And there was a little fear that the screws were a tad to long ... there were not, but just be careful with your own door).Now, no matter how tense we made the lower screw on the actual hook area, the device is still a little (i.e. "slightly") wobbly. (Not much, but I wouldn't call it "sturdy.") Likewise, the quality is "good" but not "great." In our master-bath, we have a Moen hook. It is heavyweight and infinitely sturdy. This pales in comparison to Moen (for roughly the same investment).This hook is "fine," but Moen makes considerably better products.

Tough this is called a “robe hook”, I actually use it to hang my towel to dry after I shower. It works quite well. Nothing overly fancy, but is serves its purpose. Don’t forget to watch the video at the top to see how easy it is to install. This Made in China hook is from the “Traditional Elm” collection. South Main Hardware makes a lot of fixtures in this collection. For the current cost of less than eight bucks, you really can’t beat it. You’ll probably want two!

We have an old house with forced hot air. I got an idea to install a robe hook near one grate so that our robes would always be warm in the cold weather. this installed fairly easily. the hooks are curved enough to prevent robes or towels from slipping off. The project was a success. The hardware is nice and the hooks sturdy.This is somewhat between a matte and shiny finish. You do get some reflection but it is not nearly as much as, say, a chrome finish. It matches my other silver colored fixtures well.

Well made, easy to install and although it is listed as robe hook there are other uses-- in fact one of the dogs developed kidney disease and we had to start giving her subcutaneous fluids. The vet advised us to do it in the bathroom because it would be easier to control her so the needle would stay in place. We had a plastic hook that promptly broke so I thought of this one. It turned out when installed for a long robe-- near the top fo the door, to work perfectly to hold the bag a good height so we could both hold onto her.It's also attractive and the color matched with the other hardware from the same line.
