1 Inch Premium Bookbinding Repair Cloth Tape, 15 Yard Roll, Orange

I bought this item to bind books. I have a lot of experience with different tapes and I think that this one works the best so far I did buy it very recently so I am not sure how well it will stick but so far it has been a week and it look good. When I used Pro Gaffer tape and it did not even stick till the next day. Would definitely take this tape over other brands.Update #1: Over a year and a half later the tape still sticks pretty well. However, by some of the books that I bound the tape is not sticking so well to the edges. I would still say that it does stick a lot better than other tapes that I have used in the past.Update #2: It has been almost a year since the last update and I noticed the tape is definitely starting to come off. The interesting thing is that I have found is this tape did have as much residue that most tapes when they come off. So replacing the old tape will be a much easier process.

I needed to repair the ratty edges of my vinyl messenger bag. Duct tape peeled off, especially in the heat. Bias tape with fabric glue was functionally okay, but came out ugly since the glue soaked through in some spots. So I tried this tape. I was able to simply apply it right over the previous ugly repair, and it adhered perfectly! No wrinkles or bubbles or peeling so far! This pleases Morbo.

I purchased this item because I am making small handmade journals. I ordered the one inch black bookbinding tape because I had a narrow spine to create. I may order wider size in the future for other projects. The tape is very flexible because it is thin like masking tape and not bulky like duct tape. This would also be perfect to repair torn spines. The tape has woven fibers so it will not easily tear. I recommend the tape for book repairs and for beginning bookbinders. It is priced well for the 15 yards in the roll.

This cloth binding is beautiful and sturdy. I have repaired many childrens books and they bind easily and hold well. This looks and feels much better than duct tape. Lol. This tape is soft to the hand but holds the repair perfectly. I have bought several colors. Buy.

High quality tape. Long strips stay flat due to the weight of the fabric tape. Clean rips with just hands (though scissors are always better). Good adhesion on upholstery and metal. I have no doubt it will work well on a book binding, too. I cannot speak to its long-term properties, but so far, it’s a great cloth tape. Also, it doesn’t have an obnoxious toxic odor like many tapes do.

I picked up this tape because I have several record album covers that needed repair on the inside. I also have a few record album pop up pictures albums and it's perfect for repairing and holding together the inside pages of the story book inside the album

As a retired librarian, I can attest that not any tape will work on a book spine. I've missed the tape I used to use at work, but this stuff is just as good. I had to tape the spine of an old book that was suddenly getting lots of daily use, and this tape worked great! It adhered well, conformed to the shape of the spine gutter, and held up through heavy use. It also has a pleasing cloth texture, not at all plasticky. Very good product.

My husband wanted me to order this so that he could use it to put inside a hat that was slightly too large. He'd tried several other kinds of tape and they didn't work, so I suggested this. Alas, it didn't work either, and he finally got smart and took the hats to a leather repair shop. But it is very good for repairing books! I learned how to use it when I was in high school more years ago than I want to count.

Will be used for book repairs. Not used yet(book out on loan) but I appreciate the very prompt service, thank you. Looks ideal for proposed jobs

Good strong tape that strengthens the spine and covers over the staples used to put the book together. Looks good on booklets also when repairing spines of printed books.
