My go to tippet. All weights. Works as expected. Hold end in each hand and stretch as needed to remove coil memory if needed. Use with Rio tippet holder for 4x, 5x, 6x and 7x for trout.

Super strong but be aware it is thicker than normal 5x
Stayed straight, held knots, and brought in some big fish. Only issue was trying to tie double rigs on size 24 hook eyes. This stuff is noticeably thicker than normal 5x. I guess it's basically 4x labeled as 5 so they can say it is "stronger"

Visibility and strength
I use this tippet rated at 3.8 pounds with a line rated at 4 pounds to assure that, if my lure/bait gets stuck, I only lose the tippet. It does that perfectly and is invisible to the fish and darn near invisible to me. I'm 83 years old and still enjoy the sport of fishing.

Rio fluoroflex rocks
I spend part of 120-140 days per year fly fishing for trout, salmon, steelhead & use Rio flurocarbon tippets exclusively for years now. If you snap off a fish on a Rio fluorocarbon tippet, then it was not meant to be...I was snapping off huge 30-35 King Salmon on 0x Rio fluorocarbon a few weeks ago. Nothing you can do with river monsters that size, but a little luck helps in landing them. But, I have to say I snap off very few fish with these tippets & when I do snap something off, its usually exceptionally large. I dry fly with 4x Rio fluoro & my regular nymphing rig has 3x tippet set up. Highly recommended.

Advertised as 100 yards - only 30 - beware
I’m disappointed with the seller not the product. Amazon made it right by refunding me. The rio FF tippet is great stuff. I thought this was an awesome price for the guide spool 100 yards - but it’s just an average price for the normal 30 yard spool. Seller - fix your listing please.

Well, I thought I found an amazing value but it's only a 30yd spool however in the description it states 100yd. It's disappointing but RIO has always been good. I needed something to fit between my 6x & 7x Umpqua and this did quite well in that regard.
