Faulty - twice
Looked good but unfortunately the first one I bought lasted just over one month before it kept switching itself off or not even switching on. Thinking this was a a random fault I chose a replacement of the same model but this also only lasted slightly more than one month.There must be an issue with the switch assembly. For this reason I cannot recommend this kettle.

PLEASE don't waste your money
Before purchasing this kettle I read the negative reviews on this page, but it was a really beautiful looking kettle that would go great in my kitchen, so I ignored them thinking that it was probably just a couple of faulty units and mine would be fine. OH BOY was I wrong. Not even 4 months later and it no longer boils. You flick it on, the switch immediately flicks itself back off. You flick it back on, hold it down firmly, it begins to boil. Turn around to grab a mug and a teabag and oh! Turned itself back off again. I've resorted to sellotaping the button down and standing beside it to manually turn it off when it's done which is possibly the least safety-conscious thing to do but desperately bad design calls for equally stupid countermeasures.Yes it will look nice in your kitchen, but no, it won't make you a cup of tea.

Broke after 1 month but replaced next day
I fell in love with this product having wanted a glass kettle for a long time when our old one finally went kapoot i ordered this straight away.It is beautiful! As far as kettles go! Love the iredescent shine.However, it only took a few weeks before the flip switch on the kettle kept turning itself off making a full boil impossible unless you were there to reclick it back on & even then it did it again & again, the most disappointing & frustrating thing ever!Back to Amazon (out of my 30day return window) 'sorry it's out of our return window, go to the manufacturer'Salter 'sorry this is not an issue for us, the seller must refund you' back to Amazon & they had someone from Jamaica (if i remember correctly) call me (?!) but he was so helpful & tap tap tap on his keyboard, a new kettle will be with you tomorrow. Thank you!So i was delivered a new kettle & asked to return the broken one with a returns label sent to me by email.So, 3 out of 5 as sadly upon reading the reviews since my first one broke, lots say the same.If Salter fixed this issue this would be a 5 star product easily.My second one, still currently working, gets a 5, i get tea so i am happy & actually even with the messing about eventually the customer service was fab.Edit: 2nd one broken within 2weeks!! Reduced to 1 star. Looking to get my money back now & buy a completely different kettle. Salter are not up to scratch.

FAULTY
WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE. i bought as a gift for my mother for xmas. the kettle lasted a month before the switch no longer worked. i now have no way of returning or contacting the seller as there is no option to do so for this order for some reason.!!! amazon if you see this please contact me!!!
