BASE WAVE2 Pack V-Shape Long Reach Pruner Handle Replacement Spring 3-5/8''(92mm)(vs)

My favorite pole clipper just quitted a few days ago. The spring at the handle just broke. I called the manufacturer and asked to purchase the part but I have not heard back form them yet. By sheer luck, I discovered that Amazon carries the springs that I could use. I was not sure that this spring would fit into my pole clipper handle but I bought it anyway due to the Amazon's free return policy. It turns out that this spring fit my pole clipper handle perfectly (see the picture). The spring looks very sturdy but I don't know how long it will last. Anyway, the order came with two springs so I keep the second one as a spare. I am very happy since a new pole clipper would cost me $100.00.

A spring that fits pruner handles to make them open automatically. Since the pin that the handles pivot on would fit a ¼ inch spring, I ordered the pair of springs. Unfortunately, the width of the coils is greater than the space I find my pruner handles to be. It will not fit unless I file / grind the opening so the spring will fit.One star removed since the springs are what they were advertised to be but I cannot use them. Maybe they will work on other handles.

I intended to use this spring to replace one in a pair of Wiss Snips. Although not exactly the same as the original, I did get it to fit and work. Unfortunately, the steel in these springs is of low quality. After only a couple uses the spring lost its 'spring'.
