I’m a pretty serious bass fisherman and own about 30 different baitcasting reels. I have Curados, Revos, Daiwas, and other high-end equipment. I’m always looking to try out new entries to the market, so I bought this one to give it a spin.This reel is not in the same class as more elite baitcasters, but it doesn’t need to be in order to be an effective piece of fishing gear. Simply put, it’s a solid reel. It casts well, retrieves smoothly, and the drag works great. It’s also lightweight and works well with braided line.If you’re looking for a solid baitcaster that won’t break the bank, this one is a good choice. I paired mine with the Piscifun Serpent rod in a 7 foot medium fast. The pairing works well as an all-around combo that can be used for a variety of baits and conditions.

So far I love this reel. The drag is smooth, it casts well and all the knobs have definite "clicks" when adjusting. It looks like a much more expensive reel and handles like one too. Definitely with the money.

This reel is lightweight, smooth and cast like a champ. No complaints.Update: Not the best bearings but some reel oil will take care of this.

I have put this reel to the test this season as my primary hard jerk bait set up and once I dialed everything in the way I like with the jerk bait I was using this was by far the best bait casting reel I own. Put 10 pound flourocarbon on my one piece 6'7" medium casting rod and I can bomb cast almost as far as my 7 foot plus rods. The reel has a beautifully smooth retrieve and I have the 8:1 (highest gear ratio offered) in right handed and is great to bring in the line after twitching aggressively. The micro adjuster and brake system is fantastic and I can dial in smaller jerk baits all the way up to my 110 plus 1 type baits without an issue. I ended up buying a 2nd one and I have that on my 7'5" one piece Medium Heavy rod for either frogging, light pitching, or heavy wobble heads. It is also super light and feels great in the hand and looks amazing as my son and I love the all silver look of this reel. I will be saving up and will look to buy at least 3 more to add to my fishing arsenal to replace an old 20 year old Shimano and add 2 more for other set ups. With the great price and performance you can pick up 3 or 4 Alloy M's versus 1 of the big name Japanese brands and that is awesome when on a budget. Performance is also key and this reel is by far the top of its class from Piscifun as I have a few Torrents and the Alloy M is so much better in almost every way say for price.

Well made although the spool is a bit small for much sea activity. The quality is excelent especially when you see the price. This is a very well made item and worth the money. Another excellent reel from Piscifun.
