Van Gogh has been studied by so many writers over the century of so since he died that it's hard to find anything new to write about him, his life and work. I bought this volume for the pictures included, as a gift for a painter friend, who appeared to be delighted with getting it.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SURVEY ON VAN GOGH PACKED WITH GOOD REPRODUCTIONS EVEN OF VAN GOGH,S DUTCH PERIOD THAT IS OFTEN OVERLOOKED
