NLT Illustrated Study Bible: New Living Translation Black & Onyx Edition

I already had the parallel study Bible which I really like and thought the illustrated part of this would be a good addition-it is. Now I just need all three in one volume! The illustrated parts are done well with lots of information and background material. A little bit like having been to Bible College. So far there has been no surprises in the commentary that were disappointing. It seems to be bound well and sturdy. Looking forward to many years of use out of this Bible.

I absolutely LOVE this Bible! I was using a KJV Life Application Study Bible in addition to a small NLT Bible before getting this one. There was nothing wrong with the two that I already had. I was just intrigued by all of the features in this Illustrated Study Bible. I absolutely LOVE the visual Study experience. This Bible truly brings God's Word to life! I love using the NLT translation when I study because it is so easy to understand. I no longer feel the need to have my Hebrew/Greek Dictionary by my side while studying. This is a thick and heavy Bible, but it is so packed full of study aids that I have learned to overlook that aspect.

Excellent study tool with loads of historical information. Very interesting and colourful layout which makes reading easy and exciting.

Great study Bible! The images and study notes complement the Bible well. There is an image of a snake in the garden passage of Genesis. The words are the right font, as well as the study notes. The color and images in the Bible itself make it a different and unique experience in the Bible.

Its a beautiful Bible and a real blessing to my kids, I have given four of the bibles to my four kids. A great study tool along with the Word of God. It almost weighs as much as my one daughter who totes it around but its all good and she is proud of it. A happy Dad....
