Large folding plastic loupe.A huge folding magnifier that is over 160mm long when opened and the cover/handle is about 36mm thick. Closed it is 93mm by 60mm by 35mm. Too large IMO for convenient pocket carry. Clear aperture is about 46mm. Definitely NOT 10 power when compared to a Belomo 10X Hastings Triplet loupe but not as exaggerated power as many Chinese made magnifier claims.. Much closer magnification to the Carson LumiLoupe 5X Lighted Magnifier. Both are two air spaced element magnifiers that do a nice job of magnifying and provide large enough lenses for a wide view and decent magnification with minimal distortion. Too low a power for work like proper gem appraisal which per industry standards requires a true 10X loupe.As of 5/22 I note that the seller is no longer making any magnifying power claim for the large folding loupe.10x Hastings Triplet LoupeNice all metal construction Hastings triplet loupe. This is a true cemented glass triplet as I disassembled it to check for that. Excellent construction for the price as the cover is a staked or riveted assembly so there should be little chance of the loupe disassembling itself, common with screwed together versions per reviews. The included case is heavy gauge leather, similar to the Belomo loupe case. As with many loupes the listed aperture of 21mm is for the uninstalled optical element. Actual installed clear aperture is closer to 19.5mm. Loupe body is quite compact at 36mm long including the lanyard attachment by 24mm thick and wide. Optically excellent for the very reasonable price.

I work in avionics & I needed something that would allow me to eliminate the need for the handheld loupe I use for close in work. This magnifier does the trick & let's me keep both hands frèe.

Bought this to be able to look closely at jewelry markings and it is perfect for that to me. I love the light feature and magnification is quite good.

I ordered two and one had a lens missing.The one that replaced it was ok, but was very tight and difficult to open because the lens plastic was too wide.For a cheap plastic lens, it is pretty good, works good and is clear. I like it, and it's worth the money. But, just realize the quality is very marginal and you may have to send on back to get a good one. Luck of the draw.

I honestly have zero explanation as to why I purchase this. I have never used it and I have owned it for months on end. I guess it works lol

I must be a loop nerd . . . I literally gasped when I unpacked my new Quality Optics loop. I didn't expect this superior quality. I even had my husband hold and feel it. My old plastic one didn't last long but I have a feeling this one might last me the rest of my life. It really feels like a professional loop. I go to estate sales with my son and this is a part of my tool kit along with a blue light flashlight, magnet and magnifying glass. I'm so glad it's made in the USA and family owned and operated.

The vendor did refund after contact & complaint. Loupe seemed ok otherwise.

Cheap enough but not the cheapeat available. Build quality is as expected for a cheap hand lens.
