MABUA Gait Belt with Metal Buckle (72" Black)

This belt works so well. I have used other gait belts which did the job, but this one is so much smoother with the buckle. It is a good material that does not scratch when I wear it under my shirt. The handle is a nice bonus. Overall great belt. I use it very often and would recommend it.

My 91 year old mom just got home from a skilled nursing facility after a broken hip. I ordered this gait belt to help me with transfers up and down steps to the car and to help her stand if the seating is very low on the furniture. I had been using a gait belt at the facility for her so I already knew how important it is to have one for my own..The very next day after getting this gait belt my mom ended up sliding onto the floor. I quickly grabbed the gait belt and I was so pleased that I had ordered the one with the extra loop on the back. I put the belt on her and honest to goodness I was able to lift her right back up onto her feet! That loop is great!! It allows the belt to stay flush against the back while getting a good hand hold on the loop. I got the black one. I had looked at the pink but another reviewer said the pink did not have the extra loop. I am so glad I got the one with the loop. I recommend this gait belt as highly as I can. It would have been so difficult for me to have gotten my mom back up onto her feet in a standing position without this belt. Also it stayed perfectly snug right where I needed to be and did not loosen like some of them can do. Also I liked the metal buckle and feel much more confident that it won't unsnap during use.

I purchased the black MABUA physical therapy belt several weeks ago and Iliked it very much. It was similar to the belts I saw the therapists using.I am using it with my elderly parent, who is residing in a skillednursing-rehab facility. Unfortunately, the black belt was left overnight inher room at the facility, and when I arrived this week it was no longerthere. Because it was black, I did not mark it with her name using a blackpermanent marker.I liked the black MABUA belt very much before it was lost. It felt sturdyand secure, and had a single strong handle to hold onto in the center of mymother's back.When the black MABUA belt was lost, I ordered, another MABUA belt. Thistime I ordered a pretty pink belt that I could mark with my parent's name,so that it could be identified if lost at the rehab facility. The lightpink color would contrast well with the black permanent marker.Unfortunately when it arrived, I discovered the pink MABUA belt did nothave any handle. Although I was disappointed, I needed the belt to continuemother's daily exercise program, so I marked her name on the pink belt andfeel more confident it won't be misplaced with her name clearly marked. Thepink belt and buckle are of same good quality as the misplaced black belt,I just wish I had noticed the pink belt did not have the same strong handleas the black belt.For that reason, I would grade it three stars. Other thanthat, I would grade it five stars.Sincerely,A mildly disappointed son

Great standard gait belt. No issues. Looks cute too for a good price. Good for my classes

Very easy to use, no directions needed as long as you know how to use a gait belt. Wish it were a couple feet longer, but this is working out just fine. It appears to be well put together and the metal clamps work well but I would still pay attention to make sure that somehow the belt didn't loosen accidentally at the wrong time. Nice width.

Absolutely love this type of gate belt do to the extra loop in back to hold on to as a handle.
