Santa Fe Noir (Akashic Noir Series)

Good addition to the series
I picked up this book shortly after its release. I have read several others of the series, but given that I live ~50 miles from Santa Fe, reading this one was a must. I was not disappointed. Living near the title city also provides an enjoyment that I don't receive from the other books in the series, as being aware of the people, culture and physical landmarks discussed allows for a different level of immersion in the stories. [I can make the same statement for the Kansas City book, as I used to live near that city.]if you enjoy this series, pick up this book. If you are new to the series, but live near Santa Fe, pick up this book. If enjoy the series and live near Santa Fe...then I'll assume you've already read this book.

Overall pretty good stories
This is the second book I have read in this series, and overall I felt this one was better than Austin Noir. I assigned the stories grades as I read each: six As, six B's, two C's, two Ds, and one F.

Don't bother
The editor needs to look up noir. This is mostly what New Mexicans outside Santa Fe expect. Poorly written lefty stuff

Highly unrealistic view of the city
This seems to have been written by a person (female) who is lonely in a town that does not really cater to the outsider views of life. Was very disappointed in this book. Native Santa Feans should stay away from this.
