J&D Male to Dual Male Cable is a specialist stereo cable that are not only made for headphones, they work extra-ordinarily well when connecting a pair of stereo speakers to a music system. Therefore, and from a personal point of view, I see these cables as small stereo speaker cables rather than just headphone cables.These cables do a very good job of keeping the left and right stereo channels strictly separated, so when playing music the right music channel is sent to the right male plug and the left music channel is sent directly to the left male plug. However, I did run into a problem here, unlike headphones, the dual male plugs are not marked as “left” and “right” stereo channels and so I had to use “MasterStudy's Left and Right Stereo Sound Test” YouTube video to determine which of the dual plugs carried the right stereo channel and and which carried the left.Once I had identified the stereo channels on my J&D Male to Dual Male Cable, I used a pair of “Ugreen's Headphone Extension Cables” to provide the extra length I needed to complete my connection of my powered stereo speakers to my mini-amplifier. However, and again, I ran into another problem, at completion of the set up I found that if the dual male plugs are either touching or within 2 inches of each other the sound from the left channel is severely distorted. The simple answer to always keep the male dual cables well apart.To summarise, the J&D Male to Dual Male Cable are a very well made cable that requires special care when setting up and using and, unfortunately, may also require some experimentation to get the best from them. However, once set-up properly these are excellent cables that show their quality when in use. If I could give this specialist two sets of star ratings I would, 3 stars for requiring special attention when setting up and 5 stars for superb quality in both build and stereo sound transmission.

For the money this is a surprisingly good cable. Sound quality is very good. It is microphonic unfortunately and I do wonder how long it will last. I’m using it as a stopgap with my Denon AH-D7200 headphones until I find a more serious, long term 1m cable, but until then it really does the job very well.

If only I realised earlier that this sort of cable is commonly sold as an airline adapter! I wanted one to take CV pitch and gate from a CV interface into a Korg Volca modular (which combines both into a stereo 3.5mm socket). This cable is perfect for the job and a very tidy solution.You might need to buzz it out and mark one of the plugs so you know which is wired to tip on the other end, as they aren't marked, but this is otherwise perfect. Really useful cable.

I really liked the build quality and finish on the product and the fact you are sending that much signal through such a long length of wire to me tells you how good the wires conduction is. I actually have no problems at all with any of the process. The company was fast, sufficiently packaged AND clearly labelled the product.

I bought this as an alternative for my Meze 99 Neos. Not only were tjey broken upon arrival, but they are EXTREMELY clunky and big.
