I have a lot of these planters but had totally forgotten just HOW BIG the are. They are gigantic and will need a lot of soil. I don't remember how much I used the first time but guesstimate between 3-5 small 8 qt. bags. So with four new planters it was off to buy some more potting soil on amazon. Once the pots are filled they are heavy to move and the rolled rim is probably the weakest part of the container. Btw. I would never 'punch' out the drainage holes. Always use a drill and make a small pilot hole to prevent cracking. Otherwise it was a great price and I would recommend.

The size 16 is huge. According to the Bloem website the measurement are 13.7x 17.6. It’s really really big. Like meant for outdoors big. If you’re thinking, “Oh I have the 8 inch planter so I just wanna double the size...” you’re better off getting the 10 or 12 inch. Trust me. It fit my 2 year old nephew. It’s big. (Photo shows 16 and 8 and 6; 6 is in navy)

Very nice planter. It was much bigger than I expected. Probably because I didn’t visualize how deep it would be. But it turned out the plant I was putting in it needed every inch of the pot. It was a perfect fit. The plant looks great in its new home and since it is so big, having the planter plastic made it much lighter and easier to move around. The sage color is a very nice soft color green. Very happy with this purchase.

Replaced my cracked planter. The curved back rim is stronter than my old planter which was straight edge. Expect that it would not be as susceptible to cracking. Reasonable price.

Bought 6 of these large planters to replace the same make and style bought many years ago that were now unusable. If I get the same amount of years out of these that I did the last set (7 years, in bright hot sun!), I will be very happy. Just check what color you buy, other colors of the same pot can be twice as much money. The sage green are a very nice color and the price was great.

Important! Punch the holes! Use a drainage pan!I am desperately trying to save my 20 year old hibiscus after all the stagnate water in the pot.Pot looks nice and is no mess, but there is no way to tell how much water stands at the bottom UNTIL—Your plant starts to die.

Fast shipping. Arrived with no problems. Sturdy but not overly heavy. Only time will tell how long the planter will hold up to sun and weather. With that said, the longer the planter survives outside weather the more apt I would be to buy again.
