I have been dealing with sleep issues for many years and am always on the lookout for an OTC product that actually works without leaving me feeling sluggish the next morning.This is my first time trying a chewable melatonin. I have used gummies (preferred) and tablets before but never chewables. There really isn't any flavor in these. Most products like this are strawberry flavored but this one just tasted a bit medicinal. It wasn't bad, just not necessarily pleasant like some others.Even though I wasn't thrilled with the taste, they did work well. I have taken these off and on for a few weeks and every time, I was asleep within 40-60 minutes of taking them. No tossing and turning, no waking up multiple times during the night, just a restful night's sleep. I did not have the dreaded zombie hangover the next morning either. I was able to get up for work feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. I didn't spend half the morning dragging along in need of caffeine!The serving size is 2 chewables which is 6 mg. In my opinion, I would recommend starting out with one chewable to see if that works for you, especially if you are new to taking melatonin. I actually find that the larger doses can leave me feeling overly groggy while the smaller doses still have me sleeping soundly without the grogginess. Plus, you always run the risk of nightmares when taking larger doses. (that is the case for me anyway) Everyone is different but one was plenty for me!

This melatonin is a much safer and healthier choice over sleeping pills. Melatonin is a natural substance your body actually produces and and it is highly beneficial for other bodily functions. You don't have to feel guilty about taking this because it is not habit forming. I like to take this about 30 minutes before getting ready to go to bed. It takes a little bit to hit your system but once it does I gradually drift off to sleep.These are the kind of tablets that you chew instead of taking with water. I sometimes like to let them sit under my tongue because I feel like they're faster acting this way. They have a slight sweet taste to them but aren't really flavored with any particular flavor. May I make a suggestion?If you are not experienced with taking melatonin, I suggest taking half the recommended dosage. The bottle says that a serving size is two of these, which is equivalent to 6 mg. I feel 6 mg is a little overkill and a strong dosage to start out on. Taking this high of a dosage may leave you feeling a little groggy the next morning. I find that 3 mg is more than enough to suit my needs. Play around with it and see what meets your needs best.

I have taken Melatonin to help me sleep at night for many years now. I've tried lots of different brands as well as the various forms of the supplement like gummies, tablets, and chewable tablets. For whatever reason, this brand of Melatonin was not a good fit for me and after a week of many bad nights of sleep, I finally gave up on the product.This bottle contains 50 chewable tablets. A serving size is 2 tablets and each serving provides 6mg of Melatonin. If you have never taken Melatonin before, 6mg is on the high side and I strongly recommend going with a lower dosage first. There's no reason to take more than you need in my opinion. For me, 3mg is my normal dosage so I started off with 1 tablet. Normally it takes about 30 to 40 minutes or so before I start to feel drowsy. On four of the nights I used this product, I didn't feel tired or the drowsiness would wear off before I was able to fall asleep. So I would then take another tablet for a total of 6mg. Even with an increased dosage to what I am used to, I still found I wasn't getting a good night's sleep. Some nights I would wake up in the middle of the night, unable to fall back asleep. My stress levels really weren't any higher this week than usual so I'm at a loss why I struggled with getting decent sleep in the week I used this product.These tablets are chewable but they really don't have any flavor like other chewable tablets. It's not quite as bad as biting into a pill meant to be swallowed, but it isn't significantly better than that either. Just another reason why this is my least favorite Melatonin product I have tried over the years.The best by date is a little over 1.5 years from now.

I've been taking other melatonin for a while (the kind that's swallowed with water, rather than sublingual or chewable). I... think this one may be a little less effective? I haven't slept quite as well in the few days since I've switched to it, but I have days / weeks like that sometimes anyway, so I'd need to give it more time to determine whether that's a coincidence. (Update: I've done more testing and it works just as well as others I've used.)I do like that it's chewable; I have sensory issues with swallowing pills (though the other melatonin I have is a small tablet, which is less problematic for me than capsules and large tablets), so it's nice to have one that isn't in that form. I think it might have a very slight hint of bitterness, but it's not present enough for me to feel certain that I'm not imagining it.It seems a bit on the expensive side for the amount you get.I was amused by the bottle size; I included a picture with a flashlight stuck in the top to show how full (...or not) it is. It came with the lid wrapped in plastic and also with a tamper-proof seal on the inside, as well as cotton stuffed into it to keep the tablets from breaking during shipping. And it has a flip-top lid, which is nice. The label on the bottle has kind of a rough texture (I have sensory sensitivities to that kind of thing).The measuring tape in the picture is centimeters since the tablets are small.
