ESV-CE Catholic Bible, Anglicized: English Standard Version – Catholic Edition

The gospels read in mass are no longer from the Jerusalem Bible but they are taken from the ESV Bible so in order to make life less complicated I needed to purchase the ESV Version.I was going to purchase the leather version at £125 but was put off by all the negative reviews.Needed the ESV version so purchased this “cheap” copy, and my expectations where not to high.l wouldnt be too unhappy if the quality was lacking.It took me by surprise, the the quality is excellent, its great value.

Es la versión que adopta las conferencia episcopales católicas del Reino Unido, y de las Filipinas. Es de letra grande, y fácil de usar. Es de mayor tamaño que otras biblias, sin dejar de ser manejable. La recomiendo!!!!!!

the pages are a little too thin

Unlike what some reviewers experienced, I find the paper not too thin. Ok, some people may find the ghost text from the other side of the paper distracting, but the text on this side of the paper is still clearly readable and the 9.5 pt text size is bigger than most other bibles.

I like the binding which is sewn in signatures and the use of silver doves on the front board. The silver ribbon marker is long enough to be useful. The print is clear and large enough for comfortable reading. The printing looks like it is line matched. So all things considered it is a good product.
