Replacement for Teavana tumbler
I originally had the Teavana tumbler back when it existed. I loved it because I was able to have a hot drink and have it stay hot all day, literally 24 hours with that one. And with iced drinks, I had it take a solid 8 hours before the ice melted away. I loved it, but I didn't use it much and my mom drinks coffee every day, so I gave it to her. She loved it so much, but unfortunately, she dinged it at the beginning of this year when she had a nasty fall. It still worked but tilted so she couldn't stand it up on its own anymore. I've been looking for a replacement for it ever since and all reviews that did mention looking for a replacement for the Teavana one mentioned issues with those having the same design.I finally found this one and shipped it to my mom. Just in time too; she had just dropped her Teavana one once again and it's now officially broken. She's been using this one since it arrived and says it works exactly like the Teavana one. Keeps her coffee nice and hot through her 8 hour shift in the toll booth with no issues. Love the fact that it wasn't super expensive, but shipping does take quite a while. If I remember correctly, the Teavana one was originally around $40-$50 at the time of its existence, so I was grateful this one wasn't so expensive but had the same design.I find that this particular design is what makes this tumbler special. My husband has a few different kinds and none of them can keep a drink hot for longer than four hours. It works for him, but for someone like me that pretty much likes her drinks scalding hot but has no time to drink her coffee right away, they're useless. I think I'll buy one for myself after my son is born as I'm expecting to be in and out of doctor's appointments, pickups and drop-offs for school, and running errands while on maternity leave, so I'll need coffee to get through the days (I'm not big on coffee or tea though). From my mom's review, highly recommend it.

Great until it’s not
I give this travel mug 5 stars despite major drawbacks because it’s the best I’ve ever found. I’ve been using it for years and occasionally I get frustrated and try another one – I always come back to this one. The great futures are:– It’s the easiest travel mug I have found to drink from, which after all is the point. Press the center button, and you can drink from all sides, 360°.– It keeps drinks hot forever… Well, not really, but certainly through my entire workday. I am a visiting nurse and I am in my car most of the day. Schedules are crazy, and I never have time to stop to get a hot beverage. I can pack a couple of these and have hot tea morning, noon, and night.– It’s easy to make tea with the filter basket – optional now on most models. The tea I drink doesn’t get bitter, so I just put the tea in the cylinder, put in the filter basket to use as a strainer, and put on the lid.– You can also make tea using the filter basket as a filter – put the tea in the basket, put the basket in the cylinder, pour the hot water through, wait until it steps, and remove the basket. The drawback I find with this method is that I need to shake the mug to disperse the tea thoroughly, and sometimes when I do this leaves get in the lid.– It is leakproof even without the final lid until it isn’t. The cylinders last forever, the lids don’t.As I said, I t’s the best I have found, even with its problems – I haven’t found another travel mug that works as well as this one does. The main problems for me are:– The lids need to be replaced regularly. They work well and are leakproof until the gasket on the lid gets old or something, and then the liquid comes out the bottom of the lid – never from the central pushbutton. Unfortunately, this happens without warning, and I discover that the contents of my lunch bag are soaked when it does. Fortunately, the lids are replaceable, although only at the Highwave site: https://highwave.com/collections/accessories-replacement-parts/products/360-top-without-final-top:– The final top is useless in my opinion. It is supposed to keep the seal leak proof, but I find that the push button is pretty much leakproof anyway. I have a large collection of final lids, and I don’t know how to dispose of them. The replacement lids come without them now, which is a great change.– The colors peel off very quickly, but not completely, so the mugs become ugly fast.– The cylinders dent if you drop them - something I do a lot, but others might not. The top of the cylinder can deform, too - and then the lid won’t seat properly and the mug is no longer leakproof. Then it isn’t necessarily time for a new lid, but I usually replace the lid before I figure that out.– The lids are a BEAR to clean. You take them apart to clean, and sometimes the parts just won’t go back together, no matter how many times I have done it successfully in the past. Then it’s time for a new lid. So I usually soak the lids for a while, and that seems to work well enough. I haven noticed bad tastes, and I haven’t gotten food poisoning. So, best travel mug I have found, and I have looked hard and spent lots on other inferior mugs. If you find one that’s as easy to use without this one’s drawbacks, please let me know!

Very good with few issues
Overall good. If you don't remove tea leaves, sometimes they come out while drinking. A net for the drinking passage in the cap should be there. The cap - small one at the top doesn't fit easily, needs attention.
