Total Convert - it does what it says it does, and with power!
The media could not be loaded. Â A friend who is savvy about kitchen products recommended the Multo to me - I live in a very small space and need something that is multi-functional. Lots of multi-use tools do everything poorly, so I was a little hesitant about this product (it blends and it cooks?) but decided to give it a go. I got it right in time for Thanksgiving prep and have been thoroughly impressed.First of all, this thing is powerful - it's like a Vitamix, a KitchenAid, and Cuisinart had a baby. And that baby can cook and steam. I was making a double batch of Sweet Potato Cheesecake for two Thanksgiving dinners I was attending, so I had to blend large quantities of pecans, sweet potato, and graham crackers. None of those things are hard to blend, but this did it all so quickly that I was impressed. Then I had to blend my cream cheese mixture - except I'd forgotten to remove the cream cheese from the fridge to get it to room temp. I realized I could use the Multo's heating at a low temp (100 degrees) to quickly get my cream cheese to a mixable temp - pretty awesome. Also, I made way less mess than I normally do making a cake, since I just used the one Multo bowl for everything. The self-clean feature meant I could easily clean the bowl between uses - just one tip, don't overfill past the Max fill line when self-cleaning!I found the user interface to be extremely simple, and was able to use manual mode for everything for the cheesecakes. The only mistake or issue I ran into was user error - I tried to make whip cream on manual mode, and because the bowl isn't see-through and the blender is powerful, I quickly overwhipped my cream. I used guided mode and it came out fine, but those of use who like to DIY should probably play around with the guided mode first to get a hang of it.I had heard from my friend who recommended the Multo that it makes an awesome risotto since it stirs itself while cooking, so I used the guided mode to make a chantarelle risottto when I was given a large quantity of chantarelles. The guided mode was surprisingly flexible - I was able to adjust the size of the recipe and make my own additions and modifications. As a decent home cook, I was worried that it would feel robotic or controlling to use the guided cooking, but it was actually just helpful and nice to know I could walk away from my cooking knowing that it was at the right temp and I'd be alerted when I had to do the next step. As a first time mom-to-be, I'm excited to use the steaming and pureeing functions to make homemade baby food, and I know that it will be helpful to have something that cooks that I can walk away from and not be worried about.Overall I'm excited about this purchase and think the Multo has value for an experienced cook and also could be extremely useful for someone who is just getting into cooking and wants to make more stuff at home. It's a powerful machine that actually successfully does everything it says it does, which is rare.

Perfect for Yachts and Homes
I' m not a big tech fan but I thought I would try this new kitchen appliance to simplify my quest for healthy cooking. The Cookingpal Multo is well engineered. It feels stable, durable and powerful. The instructions make it easy to set up and get started. The USB cord plugs into the back of the unit and your tablet. It offers over 600 recipes and saves you time in the kitchen. You can sell you Kitchen Aide , Cuisinart, blender, steamer and other appliances. It’s so nice to have one appliance that can replace those and save space . I'm recommending it for use on RV's, Yachts and your home kitchen. It allows you to cook guided or manually and it even has a cleaning mode. This makes cooking healthy meals easy. It's an overall great kitchen solution!!

Do not waste your money!
The pad battery constantly dies if you do not use it daily. Then you have to wait quite a while to get enough battery to turn it on and use it. If all you wanted to do is chop an onion, you don’t bother waiting and just grab a knife. If you do not live at whatever altitude this was designed for, it does not cook food properly. On some recipes I’ve had to repeat the cook function three times to get the food to cook through.Cooking pasta has water shooting out of the top so you have to stand there soaking it up with a towel. This literally has just become a highly overpriced food processor for me. But it is so big it has to stay on the counter and take up a bunch of space. I would love to have returned it but it is past the time allowable.

Earning a spot in my kitchen!!!
This Multo is definitely earning a spot in my kitchen! So far I have only made a couple of meals so I will base my reviews on that. I don't really leave reviews but since this is quite expensive I thought it would be helpful to others who are interested!!The machine came highly recommended by a friend and I watched some Youtube videos as well. Its basically a blender, with a kitchen aid and cuisinart that ALSO cooks!! It has multiple cooking functions (like saute and keep warm) and a guided mode - which is like a cookbook in tablet form - it tells you what to do and also controls the machine. I'll be honest - at first I was a bit daunted because I like to cook and have been doing it a certain way for many years but it was amazingly fun to use!! and I love the fact that you dont have to scour the internet for ideas of what to cook since it is all right there on the tablet.I started with their recipes and made Chili Con Carne - a beginner recipe. It was fantastic! But the MOST amazing thing is the process which is SO so easy. I mainly just added ingedients into the pot and the machine both mixed and cooked for me. I also tried the asparagus risotto (tedious to make usually because of the constant stirring but here the machine did it all for me) The result was thick, creamy and cheesy - although I made a note to add a bit more liquid and to let it stand at the end for it to absorb a bit more. They have live cooking demos which are actually super helpful! They shared some useful tips, like the adjustable settings inside each recipe step that allowed me to change things like heat or time or how to use the scale (yup- you can even weigh ingedients!!) It's something I wouldnt have known before so I would recommend watching them. There is certainly a learning curve with this machine BUT it is very easy. I would imagine that anyone with a busy life style (or a small kitchen) would really enjoy this and the home cooked meals. And if you don't know how to cook this is perfect because it does the work for you!I like the fact that I don't need to think about what to cook next!!!Highly recommend!!!
