Enemies to lovers done right!
I listened to the audio book and it was just such an incredible slow burn with just right amount of drama, humour and spice!Thank you so much Kristen! I can’t wait to read/listen to more of your amazing work. I really hope North has his own book

Drama
I liked this book because love between two heroes develops slowly and the anticipation, slow burning is part of the charm. Didn't like too much and too often food description. It's romantic novel not a cookbook

Hate and love are always not that far apart
A totally delightful humourus and appealing story, about love , hate , trust, lies and relationships with friendship. The story begins when the characters are very young, Macon Saint appears to have it all. Appearances are not what they seem throughout the book. We have Dalilah , having just moved into the area trying to make friends with Macon. Unsuccessfully, but Sam , Dalilah’s sister does. The story continues with humour , bickering and sarcasm between the two main characters. Sam is a very self centred individual and steels from her then boss and Dalilah being the good elder sister offers her services to repay the debt. Enough about the story . It is much better to read this stunning novel, to escape into a wonderful world of drama, romance and wit. The characters are so very believable, and Macon is so alpha but uncertain. Dalilah is strong witty and led by strong morals but is also easily manipulated. Sam is not a particularly rewarding character, although it appears she thinks she is. A fabulous easy story to read, that traps you in it’s descriptive way and leads you into wonderful escapism. Well worth 5 stars. I have only once encountered this author, and then it was a co-written novel, however I have already ordered her next book and will search out her previous books as they are well worth reading for their diverse content.

Boring
There’s slow burn and then there’s this book. 63% before the first kiss. 85% before any “action” this book barely had a plot. It literally just dragged on and on about her being his assistant and chef. Oh I love Macon. Oh I hate Macon. Oh I love deliah. Oh I hate deliah. And don’t even get me started on Sam. How vindictive and manipulative can you make one character. She was entirely pointless and I would have been happier if she had been killed off or something. Then the whole stalker plot line had potential but went no where really. Like what about kidnapping due to jealousy? That would have been good. But no, stalker had to just randomly die. This book could have been over and done with in 100 pages so why did the author have to torture us with 400 pages of blah blah blah. Cara my friend; this is entirely your fault

Absolutely beautiful
This book made me cry, laugh and literally fall in love with macon. I've never liked a male character as much as macon. Ugh he was beautiful inside and out, I loved his vulnerability and the way he expressed his emotions. His childhood was so sad, I wanted to reach into the book and give him a hug. There are many books nowadays where the male lead is macho and quiet, but doesn't express his feelings and is disappointing and paints a bad narrative that if men don't express themselves it's sexy instead of being dull. Macon had so much character and it made the story great. I likes dilialah she was cute, funny and stood her ground. But I hated how she doubted mavon so mich because of SamAll in all loved this book, first time I've given a book 5 stars 🌟 🤩

The rating is despite the fact that Macon rhymes with bacon...
I couldn’t read this book in one sitting, but that helped me confirm that I actually liked it because I was excited whenever I could get back to it.Delilah and Saint are one of those couples that everyone sees together apart from them and their chemistry was clear from the start.I really loved the side story of sam being an awful person bc unfortunately sometimes people just are like that and there’s no rhyme or reason to and their family can choose to love them regardless or drop them - all I can say is sam is very luckyI’m not sure how I felt about one story line as I felt that it could have been discussed much earlier and maybe the family should have considered therapy straight away knowing their circumstances but all in all, a fun read. Frenemies are my fave

Sweet romance
This was a sweet story. Delilah and Macon never got along as teenagers and meet ten years later. It’s a story of redemption. And restoring trust.

Childhood enemies to lovers
Delilah and Macon’s povs are so strong, so well written, their personalities grab you from the get go and don’t let go.I’m not usually into bully romance, but it helped that D and M are both grown up now. Macon’s past explains a lot and we learn he’s written letters to her over the years that he never sent.Their slow burn romance is a roller coaster of emotion.5-star read!

Fine line between love and hate
Wow congrats l! You made me love the bully! I have a love hate relationship with bully romances. I hate victims falling for their bully but I’m always intrigued about how the author will reconcile the relationship. In fact I couldn’t put this book down and that hasn’t happened in a LONG time and there were things I didn’t love about this book but I can’t escape the un put downableness of it. Really this book was spectacular!Spoilers:Of course the bully was being bullied, that’s how it goes a lot of the time but I still have a hard time with any victim falling for said bully. However we do learn that other than mean verbal stuff, Macon maybe wasn’t quite the bully he seemed. This primarily helps reconcile the relationship. HOWEVER, I still really disliked the sister aspect - Delilah’s sister was on again off again with Macon for YEARS. It’s never exactly implied they slept together but it was high school and it was YEARS during which Delilah looked on and tagged along in the relationship. Not going to lie it was an ick factor I tried to ignore (it was made into less of an issue than I felt it would have been maybe?).Anyway in spite of ALL that this was such a great and evocative romance! I very much believed in this love and both parties struggle. It was beautifully written and the puzzle pieces fit together perfectly. I’m very impressed and I would highly recommend giving it a try if the above issues have been giving you some pause about reading it. They provide some drama but the center stage is all Delilah and Macon and it’s well worth the read!

Fantastic and original enemies to lovers
I enjoyed this book way too much! Enemies to lovers but with a completely original and believable story. The secondary characters are amazing and there’s no way to remain indifferent toward anyone. (For example, I LOVED North and DETESTED Sam). The main couple is everything. I love their story and what I really respect the most is that their past is not forgotten and swept away just because. It’s a knowledge, pulls old insecurities and it has to be healed in order to give in to love and evolution. This is something that I haven’t seen on a book with this plot and I really enjoyed it.A great book!

Eine meiner liebsten "from enemies to lovers" Story
Grandios und eine meiner liebsten "from enemies to lovers" Story! Unbedingt lesen!
