Bug Zapper – UV Light Indoor Electronic Insect Killer and Mosquito Eliminator Instantly Kills Flies Moths Wasps and More

This "Insect Killer" is definitely falsely advertised. The electrified grid is only on one side and so weak that I have seen and heard multiple small house-flies land on it with pops and sizzles and then fly away, seemingly unhurt. The unit is tiny, countertop-size, yet has a chain on the top to suspend it from but the big bulky cord makes it difficult to hang squarely. I have used the unit to pin a few larger flies/insects down and always hear them pop multiple times but this has only killed one fly, the others, including a moth, a few other flies and a yellow-jacket, all picked themselves up after a few seconds and flew away.

I purchased this as additional defense against yellow jackets that made their way into my home. I already owned a similar model from Aspectek. I purchased this one to save a few dollars. Big mistake. The way this is designed, there is two much room for the bees to escape unharmed because of the spacing between the waste tray and the grid, and, I can only assume, between the bulbs and the electronic grid. I had yellow jackets waling back and forth on the bulbs, and flying out through the bottom. The structure is a tighter on the Aspectek, so harder to escape once inside the grid. I am sticking with Aspectek from now on.

I love this thing. Dogs, chickens and horses means flies. There always seems to be one in the house. I was always picking up a regular fly swatter or an electric tennis racket. Running around and swinging my weapon like a maniac. No longer with this thing. I hung this inside my back door away from any windows. (Stick the thing in a window and it just attracts more pests.) Now, when a fly or moth gets in I don't worry about it. It doesn't take long for them to find this gizmo and I get to hear the pleasant snap and sizzle of what ever intruder got in. Now-a-days it's rare to even have a fly in any other part of the house. They are always more than likely to quickly commit suicide on this killer before they every get a chance to explore. Good riddance.

I needed a indoor bug zapping solution and purchased this product.Seeing a similar product at a friends home, we decided to get one for our own since using bug spray is out of the question due to our 2 year old and that using a fly swatter is less than convenient.Placing this in a visible spot high in the kitchen, we can tell when it's doing it's job when you hear a loud "SNAP" when a fly comes into contact. To me, that is a satisfying sound and it's doing it's job. Clean up is a bit messy since the flies don't just drop into the tray, but hey it's a minor inconvenience for something that's doing it's job.

This year we experienced quite a number of mosquito bites especially with my kids. Now I want to prevent it from happening again so I purchased this indoor insect killer. This doesn't just zap mosquitoes away but all those other unwanted insects who sneak in the house as soon as we open our back door. It's not the biggest I've seen but it is the right size for our living room space, not too small and not too big. It has 2 UV light tube bulbs and the reason behind it is to attract insects, even at daylight since the light color is different. The wiring (rods) that heat up are mostly vertical and doesn't have a criss-cross effect so you better e careful with kids because they might stick their hands in there. Good thing they provided a string of metal pieces so you can hang it somewhere your kids won't reach (you just got to be creative with the cable wire). The thing I like about it is that it's lightweight at there's a removable tray at the bottom where the insects fall, and it's easy to clean! :)

Works great... I also found it useful at day time. There was a fly in my Bathroom that I couldn't' seem to kill. I finally turned on the E Fly Killer after putting it in the bathroom, and closed the shades and doors. I checked back about 15min later, and the fly was dead lying it the tray of the Fly Killer. Done, even in less than ideal conditions.

I had this for little over six months and it's not working. this is the 2nd unit which failed during that time span. Otherwise, it works really well on zapping insects, from small mosquitos to large size flies.I'm concerned over it's quality though which is a big factor for me.

Also wish to order one more for sister. Let me know how much and if its worth buying or just replacing the whole unit. Still kills like a monster with one bulb though.
