We needed a way to keep our super intelligent Belgian Malinois from opening our kitchen trash cabinet without drilling into or damaging our cabinet door, and this device has done the trick.

Well so far yes it works. I have a 10 y/o that forgets to unlock it and yanks the door open but the lock doesn’t move or wiggle at all. My refrigerator is outside my house (I have one inside also) and it’s only been in summer heat and it’s still going strong. I didn’t think it would stay put but it has and now I’m just curious on how it’ll do in the rain.

My 2 year old daughter likes to get into EVERYTHING!! These made it so we can have a few safe places to keep things that she can’t get into. Thank you!

This does what it says it does very well. I would recommend it. We used it for a somewhat different purpose to keep a child gate in place that our smart kid could not undo. After a long while of him pulling on the gate the hole where you plug the cord into became distorted and the locking part of the cord would become cockeyed and make it nearly impossible to unlock. Unwanted tugging or pulling on this could cause this issue in any scenario. If there were a small metal ring/collar in place in the hole or some way to not allow the cable lock to move into an odd position it would prevent this.

My family has been challenged by trying to keep autistic teenage grandson from raiding the refrigerators. At first I hesitated at having to remember yet another set of numbers just to open a frig! We set an easy combination that all can remember and after 1 month of use the grandson hasn’t figured it out. If he does, we can change the combo.It can be a little tricky to open, as the numbers have to be exactly in line, but that’s a minor issue.

I followed the instructions exactly for setting the passcode, and the lock no longer works. After I set the code, released the pin, & unlocked the lock, I tried to lock it again. The metal wire just comes right out after I spin the dial to a different number. I've tried many times. I even asked a question here, and the seller just gives a copy & paste answer with instructions that I've already followed. It doesn't work!!

These had to be returned. They’re entirely plastic, so I’m unsure how long the spinning dial will work. It hardly works to begin — I was busting my knuckles trying to get them to spin. The instructions are pretty non-existent. They came with all these two-sided stickies for mounting, but the instructions didn’t match items included in the package.

Very sturdy, this is the second time we have ordered them. They are great for any type of cabinet. We are using them in a medical office to keep cabinets locked. One staff member is going to purchase them for her liquor cabinet at home to keep her teenager out. I would highly recommend.

Works perfectly for our mini fridge to keep the teenagers from drinking several pop in one day. If you teens cannot self regulate this is a great solution.
