The quality of this is so nice for the price! The sleeves are stunning and the perfect length, and as a tall girly, the length is perfect, it doesn’t touch the ground, but it definitely comes close! It’s lightweight, but still feels high-quality. My only thing to note is I usually have to double knot the tie, since it’s made out of the same silk as the robe itself, it will untie itself over about 30 minutes if it isn’t double knotted. Makes me feel so luxurious!

This robe is really soft, silky, and sewn well. It does not feel cheap. The silk is thicker and soft unlike the super cheap fake silk sometimes used that is only soft or shiny on one side and the other side sucks. True to size and fits really well. I am 5'10" and weigh 160lbs and bought a size Large which fits great. I would comment if you have very very broad shoulders or large arms, this could end up being tight under the armpits or around the back, but I am average to slightly heavy and Large is perfect for me.

My mom wanted something to go over her beaded dresses before her ballroom dance competitions, as well as something she could wear at home as a dressing gown. She’s very particular about fabrics, length, and cut, and she absolutely loved this robe - especially the dramatic sleeves and it being floor length. And I do want to note that she is tall at almost 5’10”, and it was around ankle length on her, so shorter folks would need to get this hemmed if they didn’t want it on the ground. But it’s a gorgeous statement piece, the fabric has a good weight to it and feels high end. Thinking about getting one for myself!

As the price suggests it is not silk. I compared it to my silk kimono and found this satin finish polyester isn’t too bad. The weight And finish is nice enough, and the cut and sleeves are gorgeous. It could be improved if the bottom flared more however it is an excellent value as is.

I've ordered 3 "silk" kimonos over time, and this is the first one that is, actually, a kimono, and is, actually, made of silk. The color is rich and luxurious, the fabric is plentiful and easily covers my Viking-heritage frame (I'm about as far from a classic Japanese woman's build and stature as a woman can be), the seams are well sewn, the length and width of both sleeves and body are generous and offer complete modesty, the finish is well executed, and I feel wonderful when I slip this on after a shower. I wish only that all the fabric put into the belt had been applied to its width, and less to its length, which is a little cumbersome, and actually makes it hard to hang this garment up without looping the belt around it or the hanger if I don't want it lying on my closet or bathroom floor (and I don't). I didn't take photos because no one wants to see an old woman in a bathrobe, but it really is a beautiful garment and worth the money.

I’m in between sizes, so I ordered up to be safe thinking the robe might be a little big—totally okay for a robe. This thing is huge on me! Thank goodness I can sew (I’m a former pro dressmaker specializing in wedding gowns), so I will alter it. Strategic pleats at the back of the neck and in the shoulders should work. I’ll also need to hem it. It’s well beyond floor length, and I’m 5’-8”.Quality is okay but not great. The inside was finished with French seams (a surprisingly nice touch), but they do not lie flat. It looks like the fabric was stretched as the garment was sewn and/or the seams were not pressed.The sash/belt is nice and long. I can wrap it around my waist twice and still tie it (love that). There is an inside tie to keep it closed, but it’s placed a little to high up—it’s almost right below my breasts instead of at my waist. Also, there’s no loop on the inside of the neck to hang the robe.Lastly, this feels like polyester charmeuse. I haven’t done a burn test to confirm, but I machine washed and dried and it came out totally wrinkle-free. Real silk wrinkles like crazy! The fabric does feel nice, though. Very silky and drapes nicely.I’ve been looking for a kimono robe for a long time. This is the closest I’ve ever found or I would return it. I’m hoping all the alterations are worth the effort.

I would buy this in every color if they just put a dang pocket in it. This robe has brought me so much joy! I laugh so hard every time I wear it. I float around the house waving my arms back and forth. It’s the silkiest material in the world! I slide all over my bed sheets in this thing. If I had satin sheets, I’m sure that I’d slide right of the bed. It covers everything and it’s so long it almost hits the floor.

The material does the garment justice. Fit is spot-on, too. The only negative is that I ordered the light gold color and was given the deep-gold color. But that is a shipping issue, not a garment one. If I could justify it, I would buy on in every color!

Good purchase. Fabric is smooth and shiny, fairly resistant and heavy which makes it warmer than more delicate ones. It has lot of fabric to easily cover all around when closed, and the sleeves are long and “flappy”. However sleeve are opened all the way which is stylish but can get mangled a lot in furniture. I still recommend it to anyone looking for an all purposes bathgown.
