Hey everyone, Mike Jones here again with another quick and concise Amazon review.So up today we have the Heavenly Acupressure Mat - Black. This item was recommended to me by a family member whom swears by the positive effects of accupressure. Mind you, this is not accpuncture, there is no puncturing of the skin or anything, but these little dudes are pointy. The purpose of accupressure is relieve tension and muscle aches by forcing your body to send larger amounts of blood to the affected area. This one mat covers my back all the way from lower back to the bottom of my neck. It took a few tries to get used to it, but you can always wear a thin shirt if need be. I lay on this thing for about an hour at a time, on the ground, just watching Netflix and by the time the show is over I am ready to be done. The best part about this, for me anyways, if lifting myself off of the mat. The "pain" is instantly satiated and I like to stretch forward and arch my back as much as possible. Then, within about 5 minutes, it feels like you have a light sunburn on your back so I go lay down on my comforter and it cools my back and feels amazing. Now, whether or not this is actually doing anything benefical to me remains to be scientifically determined, but I can tell you that when I do this before bed I fall asleep faster and have way better dreams. TBH, this might even have made me a better person lately and I use it at least twice a week.The pros: Well built, non-toxic components, east to clean, easy to use.The cons: Took some getting used to as I was not condition to have spikes in my back. But after a while it was fine. No real cons.The overall: I have used it twice a week for over two years and I love it. I WOULD buy this product again.I hope you enjoyed this quick review. This was just like the pictures, does what it's supposed to, and is way cheaper than the ones I've seen elsewhere. And yes, this is a real review, not an overseas bot.

I love this mat. I bought it because I'm a big believer in accupressure point therapy, but of course could never reach my own back.I have a great deal of tension in my back, neck, and shoulders. Sometimes the muscles begin to spasm so bad that I end up with an awful headache. I have discovered that when I realize tension is building up, if I lay on this mat for 20 minutes, I am able to completely relax my muscles and avoid the headache.I don't like taking anti-inflammatories, and this mat completely rids me of the neccesity to do so.The size is just right, although sometimes I find I need to reposition it. Mostly I lay on my back, but I find that laying on my side lets the little "nails" sink into my hips and reduces tension there, as well. If I want to target my neck and the base of my head, I roll a bath towel up and put it under the mat so that it conforms to my neck.Some reviewers have stated pain when first lying down, and wearing a t-shirt to reduce sensation. I personally do not feel the need for this, and do not wear a shirt at all when I'm using it. The only time it is uncomfortable to me is actually when I begin to sit up and the little "nails" are released. At that time, there is a sharp stinging sensation, followed immediately by a nice relaxing warmth, then utter relaxation.This is overall a very cool little invention. The fact that it is flexible and easy to roll up and store is a plus.

I've been having shoulder and neck pain for months now, so ordered this to see if I could get some relief. I use it w/o shirt on for about 15 to 20 minutes, most often with a towel rolled up under my neck to get pressure there, and it really helps get the blood flowing and eases the pain.I wish it had a little loop or two for hanging on the back of a door, but I can rig something up. Even my DH and DD love to use if for sore backs and to relieve stress. I thought for awhile we would need to get another so that we wouldn't fight over one!Be careful when you lie down on it, you don't want to wiggle about too much. You soon find the best way to adjust your position so that you don't get scraped up. Make sure the dog doesn't jump on you, and that your hubby doesn't step on your toes when you are standing on the mat. (ask me how I know).I do find I can't stand on it barefoot, but need a light pair of socks.All in all, excellent purchase, really made a big difference for me.

i got this for my boyfriend who has degenerative disk disease in his lower back, and NOTHING was working to ease his pain. i was looking online for something that might help that was more holistic. i came across this acupressure mat, and i did loads of research on it before purchasing it. i watched videos and read articles, and this product seemed to work for everyone else! so i found a GREAT deal on amazon -- usually they're $40, and i found it for $29 on amazon -- and bought it. he LOVES it, he uses it every night before he goes to bed, and though he was wary at first because it really is sharp, he found that it takes any pressure off his back and lets his muscles rest, easing the pain significantly. this is a really great product and i REALLY recommend it! i've tried it, and have stress knots in my back which were whisked away by this lovely mat. please consider buying this for yourself or a loved one!

I could not seem to get the benefits with a t-shirt on, so I used a thin potato sack towel I got at Walmart and put this over it. Perfect fit, and lint-free. Then, I have to lay on it nude. You have to be creative with pillows and harder surfaces but it does do the trick in-between acupuncture treatments for pain disorders. I have fallen asleep on it with no adverse effects.
