DickiesMen's Francesco Classic Chef Coat

I like the Dickies quality in the material it is made of. Yes hot in the kitchen but I expect it will last a long time with all the washings it will get.I like the knots, I am going to get the sleeves shortened to make it 3/4 length.I bought 2 tried them and then bought 2 more so that I have my max in a row of 4 days to wear without washing every 2 days.

I've worked in restaurants for almost 30 years and have pretty much always worn chef coats. Years ago the coats it seemed almost cookie cutter-like, Large and all the same. They fit like a balloon. Then specialty companies came with better fitting coats but with a hefty price tag. I need a decent weight coat that will last the test of time plus fit well and can stand up to a very busy kitchen. It must also be affordable because I WORK in my coats, not just parade around in them. This Dickies coat fit the bill. I've always liked knot closures just because I think it looks a little more professional and this coat has very nice oversized ones. So much so that it is difficult to button the first time but with a couple of washings they loosen up. It fits well, doesn't sag or feel to tight anywhere. Not in the neck or sleeves if you like to roll them up like I do. But probably the best thing about this coat is the fabric and weave because even though it is 65/35 blend, which is nice for stain release, the micro-fiber really feels like 100% cotton. It really does! And it only gets softer with more washings without the coat losing it's solid feel. The only thing that I slightly dislike is the placement of the thermometer pocket. It seems a little too far on the right instead of directly on the bicep. Oh well, I can live with that given the coat's many other strong points along with a very reasonable 20 dollar price tag.

Tight fitting, no movement

I'm 5'7 sleeves are too big for me.

For all of the people who complain about ohh they run big buy a size lower.that's a lie these run exactly what Ur size is I'm a 2XL and it fits like a dream with a lil room left so its not tight.The fabric is crazy soft but attracts lint often so have a lint brush around.the only complaint I have is how long the sleeves are but it was a quick fix by getting them hemmed.also the knits buttons are perfect and look a bit more professional than buttons/cloth covered buttons.

the shoulders fit pretty nice. the rest opens up like a tent. i ordered a large. i usually wear XL

I bought this for my son, who is in culinary school. He is of trim build, and it fit him just right. I can imagine those with a more round physique would want to size up. High quality material, well stitched, loved the look!
