My hair is still fairly thick and goes to the middle of my back, so it's really hard to find hair accessories that are big enough to hold my hair. I don't know how many barrettes and leather and metal cages with sticks I've purchased, but no matter how good they looked, they were all so small they could hold back no more than a strand of hair from my temples—nowhere near all of my hair. The metal is hammered, giving some non-snagging texture to it so it stays in place. The fork piece has the slightest curve in it to help it sit against the head easier. It comes with a cleaning block and is very sturdy yet flexible. I have a lot of hair(down to my rear) and I can use this to wrap it into an easy secure bun in less than a minute. 10/10 would buy again.
