Two words : FUN and AWESOME
The media could not be loaded. 2793 parts and needs 15 hours to build... but a VERY fun experience. I built it with my brother-in-law and took my time. Enjoyed putting together the fully independent suspension, 6-cylinder engine with moving pistons, detailed cab, differential boxes, pneumatic pumps and steering systems. It is a BIG model and looks amazing once finished. It is 12" (31cm) high, 21" (54cm) long and 5" (14cm) wide and weighs 10.1 pounds. The crane is fun to watch and is pretty impressive in terms of how much weight it can lift.By far one of the BEST LEGO Technic sets out there.Disclaimer: it is not motorized to drive out of the box. To make that happen you have to customize it (online videos) which requires more parts, motors and IR sensor, all of which can be bought from the online lego store, eBay or Brick Owl website.SUMMARY:==========1. Quite technical build with a LOT of functions. Requires time to build which makes it all the more enjoyable.2. Beautiful design.3. Does not drive or turn remotely out of the box without further customization. I have attached the video of my customization.4. Model A is better than Model B.5. For ages 11 and up. Adults will enjoy it too!

Don't pay attention to the bad reveiws out there, get this epic set!!!!! (:
This is the most amazing Lego set I have ever built in my entire life! A bit of a challenge, even for an adult but this thing has been a HUGE blast to build and to play with! I have no bad thoughts about the set, but lots of good ones I will mention. The first good thing about the Arocs is the understandable controls. They all have sticker labels even the battery box telling you what each control does making it easy for even non-tecnic builders to understand how to operate the pneumatic controls plus the other gear box operations. Also, the look is outstanding! It looks really good on display or on the floor being played with. One of my favorite functions though, is the stabilizers. It is very satisfying to see them come out and to screw hem in place. One of the smaller details that it dose not show you on the box or on Amazon is the yellow wheel stops that are hidden beneath the dump bed. The dump bed is impressive too! I've got it to lift about 35 pounds (16 kilograms) witch I thought was insane. There is a lot more to this set that I am writing about. It is probable the BEST set I have collected over the years! Don't pay attention to the bad reveiws out there, get this set!!!!!!!! (:

Great set!
I mostly collect for the pleasure of building, then for a nice display set, then for play value. This set was a very long and satisfying build, complicated by some errors in the instructions and some places where things were not very clear. My set works fine, although some of the tubing interferes with the lift arm swinging cleanly and I am still trying to figure out the exact sequences needed to make the arm move exactly like I want (Not sure if I am not setting the controls properly or if I have a leak, or what).I wanted the Unimog set for a couple years now because I am a closet Unimog fan, but reviews seemed pretty clear that this was the better set and I have to admit that is was a lot of fun to build! It took me about 6-7 hours spread over several days- very satisfying!

Missing parts
Missing parts had to buy extra parts due to this box missing its parts.

An exceptionally beautiful and complex model
This is a really cool model - the engineering is well thought out and the mechanical complexity is both daunting and educational. There are a few mechanical weaknesses that I might've changed For example, some sort of transmission, (or at least a way to disengage the inline 6-cylinder engine from the rear drive wheels) would be nice. Also, the pneumatic actuators on the crane arm are, in practice, a little difficult to use given the positioning of the controls. Also, be warned that this is quite a project. I've been building it with my nearly-four-year old daughter, and while she loves the mechanization and gears, she quickly tires of the building process itself, which is quite different from the non-Technics Lego building that she (and I) were accustomed to prior to this. However, there's something really compelling about Technics, and this kit is no exception. There's such a strong sense of mechanical and structural purpose underlying every building decision. When my daughter is a bit older, I definitely plan to repeat the process of building one of these Technic sets as a family exercise so she can learn how much thought goes into designing even seemingly ordinary mechanical objects.

Fantastic truck, time consuming build
This truck is huge and has lots of moving parts. My son is 15 and put it together in about a day and a half, working pretty much nonstop during the days. The remote functions are only for the crane and dump truck parts; it is not RC drivable like some other Technic trucks. I highly recommend this product if you like big vehicles and fun gadgets. If you are used to traditional Legos, just note that Technic is a different type (think k'nex but better). It is a more complex building system but you end up with a really cool truck that's super durable.

One of the best technic sets with a lot of useful parts.
This set has everything. Motors, gears, cool gearbox, pneumatics, the works. This is easily one of the best sets I've purchased. I built the A-model first, then took it apart and built the B model. I must say the B model is a little lacking and most of the cab is the same. I've switch it back to the A model. The pneumatic pump is a little finicky, but it works well enough for coarse movements.Fun set, highly recommend.
