I read that pure cold pressed organic Walnut oil - when massaged into the thyroid area twice daily would help with hypothyroid symptoms - - I've dealt with hypothyroid for decades and now at age 74 -find out I have Hashi - SO I know what I'm talking about when it comes to thyroid - so decided to give this a try - - - I could tell a difference in 2 days easily - maybe by end of first day - Just put a little on fingers and massage thyroid area for 30 seconds that's all it takes - twice a day - and this IS the oil I'm using -If you want more help with symptoms - add 1 tsp coconut oil (I use Garden of Life) twice a day and I just put it in my coffee - - that also helps tremendously with the brain fog of hypothyroid - -

I use it as a nightly massage on my neck/thyroid. I have an enlarged thyroid that was firm to the touch. I have noticed both my neck & thyroid are noticeably softer after using this product for some time.

One thing that scares me about people purchasing oils like this is they often don't know how or when to use them. I'm seeing people talking about using this around their eyes and such like it's a regular oil. I'm a Massage Therapist and I research everything I put on my body (which is something EVERYONE should do!) and I have experience working with Walnut Oil products.Walnut oil can be a very strong oil. Interesting to note that basically nothing lives below a Black Walnut tree ... the tree gives off a toxic substance that kills off/repels most plants and bugs. Also, horses will "founder" (a very painful and often lethal condition where the inner tissues of the hoof become inflamed and cause the structures within to die). So understanding how and when to use this is important.Now, that doesn't mean don't use this stuff. But PLEASE research before using. Especially as this is said to be a "carrier oil" but we don't know the strength of the walnut extract portion. Walnut Oil can affect heart function, blood sugar levels, and many other bodily functions, to PLEASE make sure this won't interact with any medications you may be taking.I personally got this to use for my foot balms because Walnut Oil is a great option for keeping fungal issues at bay. I will use this sparingly (due to not knowing the strength) but it's nice to have this addition in the ingredients. I had a boyfriend who had fungal issues many years ago and we cleared it using Walnut Oil based products.Docking 1 star because of the lack of information on the strength of the product and the enclosed dropper plug didn't work. I will however also give them credit for freshness....this batch was packed only a couple months ago in Feb 2021 and should last until 2024.
