I enjoyed this a lot, but for me it doesn't come to the standard of The Accidental or Hotel World. I found it clever and very amusing in places, so don't at all regret buying it and will go on buying her novels in future.

A great read. Ali as usual. Loved it to bits. Not so crazy about her new novel, though - but that's another story...

I read The Accidental a few years ago and thought it was a marvellous piece of work. It had a great atmosphere to it and it left a lasting impression. Having heard so many critics rave about this book I thought I must give it a go.What a huge let down. It's one of those books loved by critics and maybe you have to be an author to truly appreciate it. It does everything right in a way and it's wry and witty in places. The maoin problem though is that it's just really boring. The characters don't develop and the dialogue is frankly unbelievable at times.Poor. At least the cover is pretty though!
