A thought provoking and physically delicious book
If I could have given this 4.5 stars, I would have. I like it a lot. I'm on a recovery journey and have really enjoyed reading this daily devotional. Many such devotionals have the date of the reading: "January 12". This one uses Day 12. I'm not sure one is better than the other, but I find it a little distracting as I almost always start reading the day before to make sure I have already read that one before I read the right one. That's probably just me. The book is heavy duty. The pages are thick and feel wonderful. It has a ribbon bookmark attached. It seems like such a small thing, and I REALLY appreciate that. The devotionals are pretty good overall. I've had some that left me disappointed, but more often than not, they resonate with me and make me think. That can be quite a compliment as I read them right before bed and sometimes I'm more interested in "checking a box" than being introspective. I really like this book. I have several devotionals that I read or have read. This is one of my favorites.

Good inspirational reading
This is one of mine Daily inspirational readings. John put in so many great short stories that I can relate to. Very inspirational. Helps me to stay sober by seeing similarities and constantly remind me where I come from. My sponsor Gary D. says, " don't ever forget where you come from, or you will go back". And thanks to John Baker and other AA family I'm celebrating 3rd solber year today. Celebrate Recovery Daily Devotional book is a big part of my success.

365 Chances to Help you in Your Walk of Recovery - one day at a time!
This is a devotional book that goes along with my Recovery Program, Celebrate Recovery. This book feels so nice in your hands but once you open it, it really feels a lot better inside your heart. There are story and short devotions written from John Baker (the founder of Celebrate Recovery) and his son Johnny Baker (who runs Celebrate Recovery at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest) and Mac Owen, who is a District leader for the Western Region. The stories here uplift your spirit, give you good insight of how to hang in there when life gets touch, and always points you right back to JESUS our Higher Power in the Christ-based recovery program! I would encourage you to get this to have on hand to read and encourage your walk down that tough recovery road. This makes a really nice gift, the cover is attractive and anyone would appreciate the stories from R-EA-L-I-T-Y in this book that helps you make it through life on a daily basis. I know we use it for a devotional at our Ladies 12 Step groups, and it is a good tool to help all of us take life one day at a time!

Great daily devotional
This is a great resource. One thing I noticed is that although visually attractive, I would prefer that there was more contrast on the type print for reading the devotionals. It is a pretty blue color, but it presents itself a bit faint. I am able to read it without reading glasses, but I could read it better if the print had more contrast or even if the type was a tad larger.

I love the devotions
I love the devotions, and would have given it a five if the pages had dates instead of numbers. I'm guessing the authors chose to use numbers so people could start from the beginning at any time of the year, but sometimes I get confused about which number I'm up to, which wouldn't happen if there was a date.
