Only upset - EstheticicsThe 'blue/black' gradient mug is not vibrant at all, as shown in selection. It's almost not even noticeable that a blue hue is toward the bottom.We haven't used loose tea leaves, but the filter seems to be quality for sifting!It is sturdy ceramic. The lid flipped upside down holds the filter insert perfectly after it's drained from the teacup.My son loves it!
