I was worried it might not be that great but was pleasantly surprised the mounting system inside is really nice to bolt components onto and the lock is more secure than I would have guessed. As with any lock I am sure a motivated person could open in several ways. Seems very weatherproof so far have only had it installed outside for a couple weeks but it has been in heavy rain and no water is inside. I used to mount a gate controller and some other electronics in so it can hold a liftmaster la500 plastic control box inside without removing the door and with room to spare enough for extra batteries but probably not enough for the larger 21 AH batteries(if they fit it would be very tight fit). They would fit if you removed all the components and mounted them inside this box. So much cheaper option than their metal box for $400-$500 and probably more secure since that box only allows use of a very small padlock.

Quality great and very fast delivery

Box is nice enough and cleanly built/easy to install. The main feature i wanted was the integrated lock and while the lock itself works the latch seems to be made from tinfoil as it is easily bent and the box can be opened with a pull that would damage the latch... Just poorly designed in that area.

Product on initial inspection seems very high quality - thick gauge steel and appears to be well sealed. It's only after installing the box did I realize how awful the lock is - the main reason this was purchased. Lock can easily be opened with a flat head screwdriver or any other flat item that will fit key slot. Replacing the lock will also be challenging because it is not a normal cam lock. Will have to install a second lock now to make sure it is securely closed - extra cost and effort. If you don't care for the lockability of this box than it might work for you.

This electrical enclosure was very well made and the price was very good. A real value for what it is made for and the craftsmanship is very good.

The item comes with a cheaply made lock that will not lock. This weatherproof enclosure, that’s mounted outside, has no way of being secured. The locking mechanism just spins around and around.
