This is a natural Tanzanite cut gem from Tanzania. It is a Modified Cushion Cut and is a large 5.91 carats, VVS1/IF (Subjective). The dimensions of this stone are 10.36 x 8.49 x 8.00mm. Tanzanite is commonly heat treated (not glass filled) for color. The GIA assumes this on the certification. The GIA has certified this stone and it will be sold with the GIA documents. It has been certified as "Violet." It is a nice, dark saturation, a good mid-level color for investment or jewelry. While the deeper colors command higher prices, this is not a light stone by any means. It will make a beautiful addition to any gem or jewelry collection and was purchased by us for jewelry application. The photographs have not been enhanced.
