Q: Does/Can this amplify the people in the room speaking over the speaker?

Yes, and it does it quite well. It has many microphones as well as an echo cancellation mode that enables the device to amplify and quiet as needed. Best practice is to run the 30 second calibration when you set it up to use it, or if you have any issues with input or output during use. It is a very smart device and works better than any other device I have ever tried. The audio is crystal clear even with multiple people trying to talk at once. If you are connecting this up to a computer or using any services like Discord, Zoom, WebEx, GoToMeeting,etc. this device will be treated as a microphone and you can adjust the volume levels to dial it in perfectly. Always test your setup before the event to get it setup perfectly and so you will know how to adjust as needed. But this device does most of the work for you as I have not had to adjust anything in the many times I have used it this year after setup.

Q: Does the base unit come with one microphone included?

Yes, one mic is included. You can connect 4 additional mics to the unit, for a total of 5 mics.

Q: I have a panasonic kx-t7730 system in my office. will this phone work with the system that i have?
