I've seen increased clarity while also noticing a new glow in my super fair skin tone
This toner (lotion in Japanese terminology) was only the second I'd purchased in the last ten years. As a women in my late twenties with dry skin, I was convinced that a toner was only going to strip my skin and cause me to run through moisturizers and serums far faster than needed. I ran into the Japanese skin care method while researching and was surprised that a toner could be considered moisturizing. I was frustrated with lotions that clogged my skin and seemed to sit on top, making my makeup slide, and gave this a shot.I'm addicted. This toner, although clean and refreshing feeling, adds a layer of moisture before the rest of my skin care. With light patting, it sinks right in! I've seen increased clarity while also noticing a new glow in my super fair skin tone. It's non-irritating and gentle. I doubted its effectiveness at first but I've found that I cannot go without it, especially after a shower or exfoliating treatment.I would like to try another toner, perhaps Korean, before repurchasing, but this product has made a huge difference in my routine. I would recommend it for anyone with sensitive or troubled skin. For people who are normal or combo, I think this would suffice without any following products to moisturize. I find I don't need anything other than my usual serum when it's hot outside. One bottle has lasted three months and I probably have 30% left. I've also added this toner to green tea in a spray bottle to make a refreshing facial mist; multi-purpose is awesome.

Mild Asian-style toner for your daily beauty regimen
I use this as part of my daily skincare routine. While it's listed as a lotion/moisturizer here, what it really is is an Japanese/Korean-style toner which is meant to add moisture/retain moisture and rebalance PH after washing your face but before applying heavier creams/lotions. Its consistency is most similar to that of half-and-half (yes, the coffee creamer milk mix). You can either pour some in your palm and use your fingers to smooth/pat it on your face, or you can use a cotton pad/ball, or use a face mask as others have mentioned.I prefer to use my (clean) fingers to pat this on my face since I don't like wasting any products that pour/squirt (vs dipping fingers in a pot) with cotton pads.It is very soothing with a mild fragrance that goes away quite quickly, leaves no sticky residue and doesn't change the color of your skin. I have sensitive skin that is prone to redness and occasional pimples, and my skin does not break out when using this product. It also does not irritate my eyes even though I apply it liberally on the eye areas. My skin feels "balanced" (not dry, not greasy) afterwards and I end up using less heavy moisturizer, which is probably better for my skin anyway. When it's a humid/hot sunny day, I use this and sometimes skip the moisturizer and go straight to my usual sunscreen since I don't need so much moisturizing. I would recommend this toner to anyone who wants a gentler way to restore PH balance and moisturize their face.Would recommend to all skin types.

Very good but definitely not a lotion; more like watery milk.
I ordered this as it was recommended by a dermatologist and I really like it, it works very well on my skin and it is SOOOOO gentle, I put this stuff all over my face completely soaking the area around my eyes and right away I can open my eyes with no issue at all, no redness no stinging... my only gripe is that it’s not the texture or consistency I imagined.... it says lotion in the title but this is not a lotion or a cream, it’s a straight up milky liquid; which isn’t such a bad thing, it absorbs well and leaves the skin feeling great but the application process is a little difficult because it’s so watery. I find myself wanting to spray this on my face but overall good product... I wish I could read it tho hahaha

Light and gentle on the skin! It saved my skin!
I actually used this product but another version (purple version) last year and was happy about it. But somehow I decided to give other products a try as my skin got used to what I was using.Mysteriously my face was having some allergic reaction( don't know what it was) during the Winter and I wanted a moisturizer that is not too thick or causes breakouts. So I decided to give this one a try and this did all I wanted! The texture is very milky and watery. It feels almost like a toner too!I use it day/night after I wash my face and apply my toner. Its been 6 months since I used this and my face has improved in texture. Its not as dry and itchy. I'm glad I got back to it! I recommend you give it a try! : )

Did what it said…moisturize!
7 month into use of this product and it actually does what it’s intended to do. It moisturizes with feeling greasy or looking shiny. It’s a nice base to use prior to makeup application. Just remember to not use too much.

Like water & not all that hydrating
Will be returning. This product has no scent which is great. I didn't really like how watery it was and didn't hydrate my face all that well. I have dry skin and I don't prefer putting this on right after washing my face because it's not moisturizing enough. I must use a separate moisturizer first then put this product on. I have seen no significant improvement in my skin fullness/collagen or hyperpigmentation after using this. I heard about this product through a dermatologist on YouTube. I was excited to use it but unfortunately, I feel it is an unnecessary step in my skincare routine at the moment given my results.

Good but too bad for the alcohol content
This is a good moisturising product, and special for its soy content. I wish they didn’t put as much alcohol as this can be quite drying. It would be great if there was some English translation on the packaging when this product is sold outside of Japan. Hada Labo has started doing this, and would be great if this would too.

Good "Toner"
What I like about Japanese and Korean Products is that they come sealed with plastic wrap so you can guarantee you're the first one who opens it. The packaging is top as usual and I recieved it relatively fast since It was sent from Japan. I would give 5 stars rating to the merchant for the shipping. The product itself doesn't have a lotion consistency but rather a toner. It's very thin and runny. I need certainly to apply moisturizer after it because I have a dry skin at the time being. I ordered it because a dermatologist recommended it to fade hyperpigmentation on the skin so I still can't judge its efficacy because it takes time to see any and I've used only a couple of times since I got it. It doesn't have a fragrance but I could smell alcohol in it when I apply it. However it doesn't dry the skin at all. I will definitely write an update if I see any difference in my skin after using it for a reasonable time.
