Hi, the poncho is 29'' long x 18'' wide. Its a roomy fit for my 6 yr old daughter. Its a soft, but not a super plush/thick towel.

No, sorry for the confusion but this is actually microfiber. It's a lot lighter than cotton when wet and stays odor free.
