I got this originally on a lark because a local store had it on sale, so got my second bottle off Amazon since it was the previous sale price of my local store. Thought it *might* make things easier when I removed my makeup. Now it's my favorite part. Helps get a majority of the makeup off before I wash my face. I like this way better than some balms or oils. I always feel like those leave something behind and not in a fun, nourishing way. I am fully away this doesn't remove all makeup, just the majority. That's why you wash afterward.

( I have noticed that Amazon often lumps together reviews for different products, which is confusing when researching a specific product.)I always use the most waterproof mascara I can find, and for years relied on Cover Girl's Clean oil-based eye-makeup remover, but which has apparently been taken off the market. I have tried various "oil-free" alternatives including micellar water. The best of those was the La Roche Posay Dual Phase product, but that is quite expensive and just didn't last all that long. I decided to try this product from Neutrogena instead and found it very effective in quickly removing all eye makeup without rubbing and pulling out lashes. While the instructions recommend using a cotton pad for this, I have found that just putting a pea-size drop on my finger and gently massaging it over my closed eye, then wiping it off with a tissue works just as well. If any residue remains, it is easily washed off when washing my face, and it does not irritate my eyes. Also the bottle should last me quite a while, so it's economical to use as well. Really glad I found this!

I was skeptical at first but this product does work. I don't like makeup residue left on my face and there was none with this product.

I have sensitive, acne prone skin. I am 65+ years old. This cleansing cream does not irritate my skin or make break out. It is very effective without leaving my skin dry OR greasy. It is rather hard, but melts almost on contact and is easily massaged onto skin. You don't need a lot. It removes easily with a warm wet cloth. It is a clean product. Yeah, the smell is not flowery and fragrant, but it's not as horrible as described in some reviews here. Its just kinda meh. I recommend trying this cleansing balm.

This removes makeup very well. The best I've ever used!
