Q: Do these do up with velcro at the back please?

No velcro, it's more of an Alice band, this has a good size visor really does give you clear vision, I bought 2, a black one and beige one , both have same sun block effect. They can be blown off in very windy conditions so may need to support with a hair grip each side. They are very reasonable price and good quality can highly recommend, I wear mine for driving on my mobility scooter

Q: How do you keep the inside band clean if you can't put it in the washing machine?

I just rub mine with some kitchen or bathroom cleaner sprayed onto kitchen roll. It doesn't clean it completely but keeps it fresh.
