Enesco Disney Traditions by Jim Shore Wood Carved Snow White Figurine

Extremely happy with this Figurine. Even nicer than it appears on the website..

It's a lovely detailed statue with bright colours.

In what appears to be the bottom half a wooden log, Jim Shore has bestowed ten beautifully sculpted figures. Our seven friendly Dwarfs (from left to right) Happy, Doc, Sneezy, Grumpy, Bashful, Dopey, and Sleepy standing semi-circle around Walt Disney's "Fairest of them All", our first Princess, Snow White. Who appears to sitting with legs bent underneath her (as you cannot see her feet), hidden by her delicately splayed dress to which her hands are held frozen in a fixing position. Just as any well manner lady or Princess would adjust herself to neatness for the public eye.Her wicked Step-Mother the Evil Queen keeps an equally watchful eye over Snow White and friends all while holding the box meant for the woodsman to place Snow's heart in.And our tenth figure came as a surprise to me. The Wicked Queen's secret identity, The Evil Witch stands back to back with our Evil Lady (Not Shown in the picture -I'll try and upload one for full effect viewing purposes). Complete in her old hag robes, wart, stringy white hair, and all; with bubbling green caldron and faithful sidekick, The Black Crow.The figure stands at almost Nine inches tall and is meticulously detailed in the classic Jim Shore design pattern with beautiful, vibrant, vivid colors. While it appears to be carved out of a wooden log, it is all an illusion. The piece itself it made out of resin (like most all Jim Shore creations) and while it does have weight to it, the piece is not heavy at all. I'd compare it's heaviness to that of a small kitten, and of course, as with all glass or resin items, delicate. It won't break taking it out of the box, but it's not a decoration for anyone under 14, unless they are well trusted with would be breakable items.It's a beautiful decoration piece for any Disney themed room or simple brick-a-brack.It comes neatly packed surrounded by thick foam, molded for its shape in the center, inside the classic Disney Traditions Showcase Enesco Red/Teal-Blue box, with included 1 inch by 1 inch display placard that reads "The One That Started Them All".It's a welcome treasure to any Disney Collector/Lover.It's meant to be a gift for my mother, and I simply cannot wait to give it to her.If you purchase this item, you will not be disappointed.I know I wasn't.

The media could not be loaded. The item is as described arrived in good conditionVery fine small details.I made a small garden with a wood fence, and I placed a cute tiny squirrel, bunny, birds and hedgehog along with mushrooms and flowers which make the statue look fascinating.
