This is similar to a hair-trimmer as compared to a razor. Serves the same purpose as a razor, but without the risk of cuts. The quality of the plastic and finish is good.Don't expect magic out of it. Its like removing the top layer which the lint is attached to. You can choose to be careful and target the lint pieces only, or just drag it across the entire surface area. I used it on a fleece jacket, and it removed 80% of the lint. Its still not totally lint-free, but its better. I don't want to drag it any deeper, because it will remove that deep layer of the fleece fur. What I removed was a thin layer of the black fleece fur basically, not just the white lint. I also tried it on a hosiery track pant, but had to be very careful with that. The fabric was a bit worn - the lint was tight to remove - and a couple of threads got snagged while using. I didn't try to remove it all, for fear the fabric might break.So you can use it on any fabric which is fuzzy, so that shaving off the top layer will not damage the fabric. For anything more "flat" like hosiery, or "delicate" like anything thin - it will not be safe to use. Even the corners or the metal strip can snag threads while using. I haven't tried it on wool, but better to try on an old sweater once, before trying it on any "hairy" wool which may not look so pretty if the hairy layer gets removed.Took a few minutes of practice to get comfortable with using it. The metal strip is smooth with tiny holes in it, not like a razor blade, so no risk of cutting the fabric directly. My recommendation to users - practice for a few minutes on something of less value.For its design, it is just right. Its not magic, just an alternative to shaving off lint. How one uses the product will make a lot of difference to the results.Just one suggestion for the product designers - the corners could be improved a bit to make them rounded and less sharp to minimize snagging while dragging across the wider surface area.

Have to b very gentle while using,not for delicate clothes,it creats a hole or pulled threads.

I don't find it useful. On regular winter clothes. It has not applicable on sweaters inners sweatshirt etc.
