This book is an interesting read in several levels. First, as a biography of an individual dealing with the challenges and opportunities of life. Second, as a philosophical path to success. Third, by providing insights into Indianapolis politics and the growth, vibrancy of the city. And fourth, by providing a glimpse into IU athletics during a very important transitional time. As an IU alum and somebody who worked in the athletic department pre-2000’s, this was informative.

Such an honest and authentic story of Fred’s life journey. I appreciated how candid he was and the life lessons he learned along the way. Interwoven among the pages is his strong commitment to his wife and children. I liked this so much I bought extra copies to share with family and friends. Highly recommended!

Woven throughout the pages is his strong commitment to his wife and family regardless of his own professional goals or challenges. This truly is a great book to read for yourself and for your children. So many life lessons and examples of obstacles that were turned into opportunities. Highly recommended!
