TANGLE TEEZER The Ultimate Hairbrush, Black

I bought this brush to use on my 7-year-old daughter’s, very thick, curly hair. For years I had been using a wide tooth comb along with endless amounts of spray detanglers and leave-in-conditioners with very limited success. Hair time was a daily battle that I was loosing. Crying, screaming, comb hiding...my child hiding when it was time to do her hair...just miserable! Some weekends I would spend and hour or more to get it completely de-tangled. Other days I would give up 10 or 15 minutes in, throw her hair in a tangled, matted ponytail and call it good enough. The crying just wore me out! I seriously contemplated cutting her hair short like her brother’s because I didn’t see how we could keep this routine up every morning before school. I kept thinking if I could just find the right leave-in-conditioner, hair cream or de-tangling spray everything would be ok. Then, by the grace of God and a You-Tube search, I came across this brush. It didn’t look like much and honestly I was very skeptical when I first saw it. I wasn’t even sure I would be able to get it through her hair, but I was desperate and willing to try most anything. Oh so glad I did, because this brush is absolute magic! Completely de-tangles her whole head in 5 minutes! All the same hair products I used before (Cantu leave-in, Cream of Nature with Argon oil) but now her hair de-tangles like a dream. This brush not only de-tangles fast and easy, but evenly distributes the product through her hair. And the most wonderful part of all, NO MORE crying and screaming! I even catch her in her room brushing her own hair some days. I can not express enough what a wonderful change this brush has been in me and my daughter’s life. Except for a rat-tail comb, that I use to part her hair for braids and such, this brush is the only utensil I use on her hair. When she gets old enough to do her own hair she can use whatever she likes but as long as daddy has to do it, I am all-in on this brush. Love, love, love this brush!

This brush advertises that it will help brush out tangles. I thought, "ok, I'll try that, but I'm a bit skeptical." However, this is an amazing brush that does brush out tangles much better than any brush I've ever had & that's saying a lot since I'm a senior & have had many brushes. The other part that I like is how good it feels on my scalp when brushing.... an awesome massage! I highly recommend this brush!

I upgraded from the regular, no-handle version 5 years ago, and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. This brush works phenomenally on my super long, super fine hair (I only brush dry because that's best for my hair type). The bristles are all pretty bent after 5 years of constant use but it hasn't been an issue, and there's otherwise no noticeable wear and tear.

A handle on a tangle teezer blew me away! I wish it was bigger & artificial high heat tolerant but that said —-It’s a YES—Shine (few Longer Bristles),Detangling while keeping my hair on my head (Thank you!),easy to clean/maintain,nice scalp massage &sturdy, ergonomic enough not to fly off, hold.I don’t often use this/brush wet (my thin dry wavy dense/thick color treated mid length) hairbut I have NOT encountered any strand breakage, stretching or hair pulling out problems —wet or dry with this Finishing brush. I DO condition, detangle my fragile hair properly (gently ends/bottom up First in Sections!).This is the best of the bunch. I have 2 other Tangle Teezers: Pink detangler (fine/distressed hair—gentle but No handle) & wet/dry Detangler version (all hair types, shorter bristles With handle!!! works, nice on scalp).

Quite firm in the bristles. I have 4b hair type and I am still able to detangle while wet or dry with this brush. I do like that I able to get to my roots and I don't worry much about the bristles bending like my wet brush. The bristles can start to lean to one side but I think they can be bent back to shape. Dry brushing of course feels more rough with curls but take your time and no hair is pulled. My hair does feel smoother afterwards. I want to try the Ultimate Vented Hairbrush next since it doesn't have the 2 tier or rows of bristles and it can detangle the hair or blow-dry it!Update: didn't lose more than usual but I was able to get a thorough detangle at the roots since these bristles are long. I like the no balls at the tips of the bristles (like the wet brush) because it doesn't catch the ends of my hair and tear it. Also easy to clean, pick the hair out of the sides and use a rattail comb and run it along the indentation of the middle of the comb, should do the trick!

I have fine texture hair and this brush is amazing!

My purchase history tells me I’ve had this brush for a year and a half now, but I’ve gone and lost it. I went back to my previous brushes until it was located, but the other brushes make me so sad and have made me so paranoid about pulling my hair, that I’m buying a second one just so I can have a backup. And maybe a third for my travel bag.My hair is straight, fine, and quite long. This brush is excellent for detangling my hair gently without having to move extra slow as I need to with more stiff brushes. A few quick swipes helps knock out most of the knots and pulls the rest down the strand where they can be easily teased apart. It easily lets tangles slip off the bristles rather than pulling the strands or tightening them into nasty knots. I always air dry my hair before brushing, so I can’t comment on wet brushing.I usually grab this thing by the body when detangling, rounded body curved into my palm comfortably, giving myself more control of the brush and feel for what’s going on in each stroke so I can stop or pull out at the first feel of a problem. But when I’m styling I can slip back to the handle and use it for positioning the brush however I need. I appreciate having both holding options available.
