Amazing way to fix mistakes
This solution is absolutely amazing. Any cup that you made a mistake on with sublimation well you can fix it with this product. It's simple to use and creates a fantastic sublimation surface in the end. Smells horrible so use in a vented area. It definitely helps your overall appearance for sure. Definitely one of the higher quality products like this I have found, and surprisingly it wasn't too expensive.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do!!
This sublimation coating came with everything you need to mix the base and activator easy to read instructions and the bast part it actually works how it should. I have tried several different "sublimation coatings" that all said that they work and will allow you to sublimate on non sublimation items but the end products never truly looked as great as they would if it was a normal sublimation item. But this item worked perfectly on canvas, wood and dollar tree coffee cups!

It works.
Good sublimation, coating for mugs and plates. Don’t use the included brush go buy a cheap foam brush and you’ll get much better results and a lot less streaking practice makes perfect.

Ruined my project
When I was tasked with putting a design on a mug that wasn't already coated for sublimation, I thought I'd try putting the coating on myself. In spite of some really poor reviews, there were comments that made it sound like all that was needed to succeed was to follow the directions. The first thing to know is that this stuff stinks. There is a warning to use this product in a well-ventilated space, but that doesn't communicate how smelly it is. Early this morning I removed the trash from my workroom which contained the unused portion of this product, mixing cups, disposable syringes and other trash related to using this coating. When I went back several hours later to work on another project, the smell in the room was still overpowering. My trash can is sitting outside, as I'm writing this, in an attempt to clear the odor. This sublimation coating comes in a bottle with the liquid coating, along with a much smaller bottle of activator. You use a ratio of 0.5 to 10, which doesn't sound all that bad, until you think about mixing up less than 10 whatever. There is absolutely no way, at least for me, to measure a fraction of 0.5 whatever. So, if you want to mix only 1 ml you'd have to add 0.05 ml. I don't have any way to measure that amount. So, when I wanted to coat one glass tile, I still had to mix 10 ml, meaning that quite a lot of what I'd mixed had to be thrown out, since you cannot keep the mixed solution. So, I started out coating several glass tiles as a way of testing how to use this successfully. I didn't really pay a lot of attention to the brush marks or complete coverage. I just coated the glass tiles the best I could, mainly wanting to find out how well it would sublimate. After letting the tiles dry, I baked them appropriately, taped my designs on them, and proceeded to sublimate them. When I removed the paper and tape, I was so pleased with the result, I decided that I would go ahead and try to sublimate the mug.Well, this did not work out as well as the glass tiles. Using a tumbler turner, I applied the coating to one mug using a foam brush. Actually three foam brushes. As hard as I tried I could not get the coating painted on evenly. Then, again using the tumbler turner, I tried applying the coating to another mug using an air brush. Again, the coating wouldn't apply evenly. The first mug sublimated okay, but there wouldn't be any way I would sell the resulting mug simply because of the rough, sloppy look of the coating. The second mug sublimated fine on one side, but also couldn't be used commercially because of the poor rough coating. Worse, though, was the sublimation on the other side of the mug where I wasn't even able to completely remove the sublimation paper. It seemed as if the coating had melted onto the paper in the oven and then hardened with the paper stuck to it. Obviously there's no way to fix that.Simply based on the overwhelming smell, I wouldn't be able to use this sublimation coating. But, when I want to sublimate anything I need to be able to coat it smoothly, evenly, and without the risk of the coating wanting to hold onto the paper. I so wanted this to work, but, after wasting not just the cost of the coating, but also the price of the two mugs ruined, I simply cannot recommend it to anyone.

It Worked!
I bought a cheap cup at dollar store. It worked but since I used the brush provided at it left streaks In the print areas so I tossed it out.The cup in the picture my son bought and asked me to try so I bought sponge brushes and as you can see it worked beautifully in my Cricut mug press!

Not for beginners!
I just got started with sublimation! And had no idea that on it needs to be on a turner whole coating or else it will not level out. The drying time is phenomenal and quality is great!
