Perfect Fit & Simple Install
The strut was a perfect fit and installed in about 5 minutes. I wedged a 2x2 stake in the passenger side of the engine bay to hold the hood up while I replaced the strut. I recommend you do something similar or have someone hold the hood for you. I did pry off the clips on the existing strut using a flathead screwdriver but I’m not sure if that was necessary. A bit of force would probably work fine. I didn’t do anything with the clips on the new strut. It snapped right on. I wish I did this a while ago. The makeshift 2x2 “strut” that I’ve keep in my truck is a bit ridiculous.
