I used this large 68" umbrella in the Arizona / Utah desert to keep the sun off me even though the temperatures were above 43'(C) / 110'(F). My friends who were also hiking with me did NOT have access to an umbrella but were covered up with various UV covering up garments (hoodies, long sleeve fishing shirts, etc.). They were miserable and needing to stop every 15-20m beneath what shade they could find beneath the few juniper trees they could find.Wind gusts between 3-10mph made keeping the umbrella properly pointed a little difficult some times, but, manageable ... albeit actively. Still better than not having it though. The wind actually blew the umbrella out 4-5 times and the umbrella had NO problem correcting itself back to its original form and 100% operational. It was like nothing happened; a buddy thought that was the end of the umbrella when it happened the first time. But like I said, I righted the configuration and it continued operating. This occurred 4-5 times; each time going back to its original correct position without any failure of components. This is a good quality umbrella.Definitely recommended.

As a valet at a cancer center, I need to be curbside in direct sunlight by my podium all afternoon, with occasional breaks for extreme heat/cold episodes. A patient recommended one of these to me, asking the question "do you want to risk getting skin cancer working at a cancer center?" (Obviously I don't.) I ordered this on a Wedsnesday, had it Friday morning in time for my next shift, & now I can't live without it! I must have had 20-30 patients & staff ask me about it (possibly because of its distinctive metallic silver material) & I'm sure I've sold a bunch of them for Amazon. It is STUNNINGLY obvious that the temperature beneath it is 15 degrees cooler than the ambient temp., it's a 55 spf sunblock equivalent, it blocks nearly all UV light, & it's produced using recycled plastic bottles! Stepping under it is like stepping indoors - it's that effective! Between my Yeti cooler, neck air conditioner, cold water spray bottle & this AMAZING very well-made umbrella, the occasional New Jersey 100°+ summer heatwaves have been much more bearable. It doesn't hurt to know that Amazon sells this exact model for $35.00 LESS than UV Blocker sells it for on their website - a great deal for someone like me on a fixed income. My advice - DO NOT HESITATE TO GET ONE FOR YOURSELVES!!!

I love these umbrellas, I own 5 of these in 3 different sizes and use daily. The first time I bought one (5 years ago now) it broke within the first day. Returned it, tried another brand but it let light through so I gave this another shot. So glad I did, I've never had any issues since. I don't play golf, so I can't speak to how well it works for that.

This is an excellent item. I had another one when I lived in the Caribbean. It was great then and very happy to see this item is still available.

Poorly designed with string pulling out and end caps break off after third use at golf course, smh.

THE UMBRELLA BREAKS VERY EASILY FROM THE INSIDE PLASTIC STICKS. PLASTIC HANDLE COMES OUT. CHEAP MATERIAL, CHEAP PLASTIC HANDLE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Too shiny reflects sun very bright I did not want to blind the other spectators and teams playing I will buy another for fishing etc
