A beautiful book.
A lovely book, beautifully illustrated, that helps explain some of the issues those with autism may face. Too noisy, feeling overwhelmed, odd numbers. A great way to explain feelings to children of all ages.

Talulah's rules is an excellent book with fabulous illustrations
Talulah’s Rules is a beautiful book to read filled with a really lovely, thoughtful story with real insight into the characters. As well a lovely book to read, it is also really informative and interesting to see how the characters respond to different situations. There are also excellent notes and resources for parents and teachers to use in conjunction with the story.Really recommend :)

A very special book
This is a a wonderful book about autism. In a very engaging and gentle way, it helps children and their parents to understand what it can be like to be autistic and how they can best support. The illustrations, which are superb, were painted by a teenager who is autistic. A very special book indeed.

Wonderful story for individuals with Autism or parents
A really well thought out story that explains a part of Autism wonderfully. Even without the context of Autism, it's a great illustrated story for children. Also, the paper of the book feels good, nicely printed book.

Another gem
Such a simple book with such helpful anecdotes and understanding. There is no textbook that covers Autism as it is so individual but is a wonderful first step in helping to understand our differences. Well done

Sensitively written story, beautifully illustrated
I read this book to my 10 year old autistic son. He really enjoyed it and was able to relate to the characters. It is a beautiful book that stimulated conversation about some of the challenges he, like Talulah faces.

Highly recommend this really lovely story to help autistic children
Autistic children often experience & approach the world in different ways to those around them, so reading a gentle story about Talulah, a female baboon, with autism, will help start conversations that will support children also feeling overwhelmed by noise, sounds, smells and sensory overload.Using stories as metaphors is a sensitive and wonderful way to help children with autism as it can start important conversations with them around understanding that they are not alone when facing difficulties and challenges. The open-ended questions for parents, teachers, caregivers & therapists are also very helpful as they thoughtfully guide the conversations with children.I highly recommend this really lovely story to help autistic children, young people, their families, friends, educators and therapists to understand and support a child struggling with sensory overload, communication difficulties and social anxiety.

Superb story for family, friends and professionals
I am an Autism Consultant I met Talya Bruck of @savannatstories recently and bought one of their fabulous therapeutic stories.Talulah’s Rules is the story of a young baboon with Autism. She is struggling with sensory overload, communication difficulties and social anxiety during her family’s daily visit to the watering hole. This story beautifully illustrates the challenges Talulah is facing and how the seemingly straightforward activity becomes too much for Talulah.Alongside the story, the book has hints and tips to help everyone get the most out of the story. There are useful links too. The story is co-authored by professionals working with young people with autism and has had import from the children and their families. It is a great way to get discussions started restarting autism for young people with autism, their friends, family and professionals working with them.Highly recommendedAnn💙
