A portable wireless modelling amp!
I'll start by saying that I am a Blackstar devotee. I have a few of their battery powered products and have even used a Fly 3 in a live situation. When I first saw the Nux Mighty BT, I thought it was a clone of the Blackstar Fly 3 BT. The shape and size being the same. However, the more I investigated, the more I realised that the Nux products were something different. I started off with the Mighty Plug, which seemed like a cheaper and better version of the Fender Mustang plug. I was so blown away by the Mighty Plug and the software app that allowed you to set up the multiple channels, that when I came across the Mighty Air, I couldn't resist. It's less than half the price of a Katana Air, which is probably the closest product to the Mighty Air. The amp is easy to use and the wireless transmitter is a totally fuss free option, although you can just as easily use it with a guitar lead, if preferred. The app adds an extra dimension to the functionality, allowing for fx, amp models and cabinet models to be assigned to the channels, plus it makes the drum machine options easier to use AND allows for playing backing tracks through the amp. All in all, the Nux Mighty amps are definitely worth a look.

Superb!
As a bassist, I need options when I'm practicing at home as I doubt whether my neighbours would put up with my gig rig (the temptation to go loud would be too much). I have the NUX Mighty Plug which is a great little headphone amp but to be honest I was getting a bit fed up with wearing headphones for extended periods. On to this little brute, it's small and weighs about the same as a bag of sugar, the unit itself is well made, feels very sturdy and premium. I've only used the receiver a couple of times, that said, it works well and offers a quite reliable connection so far. Soundwise, the amp is an awesome bit of kit, don't expect volume but do expect a big full sound (with a bass), that might sound contradictory but it's the quality of sound that has really impressed not how loud it can go, in fact if you do try to crank it up it distorts, a lot, don't let that put you off though. The app is highly configurable, plenty of effects for the rock gods, drum loops and some basic backing tracks for everyone else. Don't expect blistering volume but do expect a really decent sound which is more than acceptable to other members of your household. Like it like it like it......

Not as good as I first thought.
Initially I was very impressed with this product. It had its own battery good sound for such small speakers, and a wifi dongle allowing no lead. Incredible value. The app. has a good range of speaker emulations and Fx "peddles". 10 drum patterns. The product claims to meet the FC regs for interference. How ever it certainly receives interference if you use an Aux in cable - this acts like an aerial. More seriously both the App and the device can lock out. The app. can be reset by rebooting your device, (annoying) the amp needs to be reset via the small pin hole by the power input. I should say I am using the app on an iPad, maybe under android it works? Untested by me. A minor niggle is that the two devices have differing Usb inputs c and mini. Far from flawless, Its size and battery make it a winner, but there are more reliable practice amps out there.

Ideal for portable wireless jamming/practice
Most mini battery amps tend to be a novelty... They look cool but sound rubbish, but not this one. Genuinely, sounds pretty good. For the money, there are of course, better sounding combos, and If you don't care about it being wireless it battery powered and portable/tiny, you'll do far better with a 50w practice amp (such as the boss katana), however if it has to be portable and battery powered and wireless... This is ideal. I keep it in a tiny cupboard at work, whenever I get a spare 10 min, I fire up a Bluetooth backing track from my phone, switch it on, plug the wireless in and I'm off. It can be set up and put away in seconds.

Nux Mighty Air Wireless Portable Amp Is an Awesome Bit of Kit
Awesome bit of kit. Great progression from the mighty lite bt amp (which I have and am going to run in stereo with the mighty Air and my pedal board) . Now with different selectable amps and cabs to choose from, a great selection of effects and it's rechargeable and wireless, with receiver included . What more does a guitarist of any level need to practice with, run into their DAW to record or even potentially mike up into PA and gig with. I've been playing for 32 years and I wish we had bits of kit like this when I was in my teens.
