Hybridlight = QUALITY
The flickering flame thing is more annoying to me than I’d expected, but that’s not why I bought it. As a solar powered lantern which doubles as a phone charger, it’s AWESOME. Much brighter than I’d expected—the low setting is plenty for household or tent tasks and even reading. High is more than enough to light a whole bedroom as if the power never went out.I have several Hybridlight products, and the only one I don’t care for is the old version of their headlamp. The first I ever “acquired” was an early black version of their flashlights. I literally found it submerged in muddy water in the middle of the woods in Ohio. No idea how long it was there, but it lit right up and still works great to this day. That’s what got me interested in their other products.I have a lot of flashlights, including some very high quality Fenix ones. If I had to choose one to last me weeks in the woods or during a blackout, it would either be the smaller flashlight or this lantern. They’re both much lighter than you’d expect, and built to LAST.To be clear: they actually do reliably recharge in the sun. One full day of charging would be more than enough for a typical conservative night either during a blackout or at the campsite. I wouldn’t expect it to charge the phone and still be a flashlight all night, but wouldn’t hesitate to tip off my phone a bit before leaving it out to recharge on a sunny day.

Very bright
It is lightweight and easy to carry. I like that it has 3 levels of brightness and is rechargeable. Great for camping and at home for power outages.

I love this light!
It is smaller than I expected but very bright so I actually like that it isn't really big! It stays charged which I really like. I haven't had to use it in an emergency (thankfully) but I am glad I have it, just in case.

Best Little Light
This Atlas 600 Led Waterproof Camping Lantern has become my new favorite lantern. The Atlas 600 is lite weight, gives off lots of light, and can be either solar charged or charged from a USB charger. Much more economical than buying D-cell batteries for my other lanterns. The Atlas 600 Led has a slit in the handle for the purpose of hanging it so don’t think it is broken when you see that. The handle is very sturdy. I am thinking of getting a second one to be solar charging and ready to use when the first lantern needs a recharge. A single charge lasts for days. Am very happy with my Atlas 600 lantern.

Great
Once I decided what I was seeking for in a lantern, it took over a year to find it in this one. As many of us are preparing for when the SHTF, or power outages, or natural disasters, finding the right supplies is crucial. Batteries and USB are not going to be helpful if you don't have them. Being that we live in a techno world you would think that solar powered everything would be something that was perfected and mastered by now. Unfortunately it isn't, and it's such a shame. At least this company had some foresight and created a product(s) that would truly be helpful (I bought their solar powered headlamp too). This lantern can not only provide you with light via the free sun, or charge via micro USB, but you can charge multiple things with the USB ports (it has 2). The lantern must be above 20% charged to juice the other devices. Also, it would take about 19 hours via the sun to fully charge if drained. If you ever get into that situation, and don't need to charge a phone, this thing probably would still blind you at 15% charged. This thing on high literally hurts your eyes. Pushing the on button once is on low, two on medium, three on high, but you can also set the light to anything in between by holding down the power button-AWESOME feature. It's 8" tall, all plastic, but not the shiny, cheap plastic you find with those collapsible lanterns. It has a black matte finish that isn't slippery. Well made and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.

Very bright for a while but -
This is a very bright light and lights up a 14x14 room well enough not to bump into things in the dark. You don't want to look directly at it because it'll be imprinted on your vision for awhile.However, it is expensive and mine does NOT "hold a charge for years". It didn't hold a charge for even a month.I have not tried to charge my phone with it so I can't honestly review that part for you but for the light in a pinch - like a temporary power outage, I would consider buying another except for the price and it does not live up to the claim of holding a charge for years.

Truely Amazing lantern & battery life.
I have many Hybridlight torches, lamps and lights. Their designs and battery life are excellent. I selected them primarily for emergencies but also use them readily in the car, and around the unit. Very expensive in Australia market which makes it hard to purchase desired units.Also stock availability of desirable units in selected colours disappointing.
