This is fantastic incense. They smell so much better burning than if you stick your nose in the tube. Don't let that turn you off; try burning them (seriously). We liked every scent once we burned them. They aren't overpowering like Indian incense. Found them to be relaxing. We burn them daily. Great for meditation, if you can do that. Otherwise, they just make your house smell nice.Ours arrived with very few broken sticks in pretty packaged tubes. They were wrapped together in beautifully bright, colored threads (which will be used for something crafty). The paper end was broken on one of the 5, but that wasn't a biggie. A little scotch tape fixed it. The other end has a lid that pops off for easy access.I'd recommend filling a wide glass jar with a few inches of salt and sticking a whole (or even a half or third) stick in the sand and lighting it. We prefer to use a windproof stick lighter. The jar keeps ashes contained and makes burning safer. These Nepalese incense are much thicker than Indian incense so they won't fit into a traditional wooden incense holder with a tiny hole. They don't have a stick inside them and that also makes them more fragile. But, it also allows you to burn whatever length you choose.I'd highly recommend these.

At first I didn't really like this incense. The sticks are thicker than I am used to with no stick. There is not a lot of difference in the basic smell between some of them although I feel that the Green Tara sticks have the most pleasant smell. Be sure to read the various purposes of each type which is important. The aroma is unusual, rather spicy, not as sweet as most incense. Yes, you have to be very careful because they do break easily. Mine arrived whole with no problems but the sticks do break if you drop them (which I did!). I just saved the broken pieces to use when I want to burn incense for a shorter time. After about a week of using the incense I really started to love the smell and the feel of the area where the sticks were being burned. Very pleasant and light - both the smell and the feeling in the room. I even started to like that there was not a stick to dispose of. I will definitely be buying these again!!

I tried out a LOT of incense sticks. This set continues to be the best! Great, authentic smell, like you can smell in monasteries in the far east. I highly recommend getting "Incense Stick Standing Clamp". Been using both of these for years and use them on daily basis. Easy to break, so no need to burn the full stick and the Clamp can grab any piece, even a small one, so nothing goes to waste, Ever! Get these and you won't be disappointed.

I've bought Tibetan incense for over 20 years. I usually get a different set, but they were out and I found these. Boy was I surprised!! Beautifully packaged. As a matter of fact, the tubes are so nice they definitely will be reused. Strong, but not overpowering scent. Just like you'd expect from a high quality product. You can tell these are quality incense and the sticks are thicker than a lot of other Tibetan incense. Recieved in excellent condition and not one broken stick. I definitely will be buying these from now on.
