These really work for my Plantar Fasciitis!
(Note: I'm the husband writing this review as these were for me). I began having Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot about 5 months ago. It is very painful, to the point that at its worst you can't walk normally. I went to my Podiatrist, had X-rays (which revealed a bone spur, which is common with the onset of Plantar Fasciitis), and she gave me a shot of Cortizone (which did nothing) and recommended Physical Therapy. I basically suffered through the pain for about 6 weeks then went back for a second shot of Cortizonee (which did work!) and agreed to do the Physical Therapy. I did about 10 sessions of PT and it did make me better. My pain was down from about an 8 to a 1 or 2 level. However, in spite of me doing the recommended stretching every day after the PT, my heel pain began to worsen again. In the middle of all this, I had been buying and trying every Dr. Scholl's product or similar I could find, including gel heel pads. They helped, as did good walking shoes, but by the end of most days I was limping. So my wife found these orthotics on Amazon, and given that I was ready to try anything, I bought a couple pairs. After receiving them and trimming them to my shoe size I gave them a try. I could immediately tell these were better than any other orthotics I'd tried previously. The biggest difference is the much better arch support. At first I was thinking, if my pain is in my heel, how can a higher arch support alleviate the pain? Well, all I can say is, it does. I continue to do my stretching, but now that I have these in my shoes I can walk all day without a pain level of about 2 at the worst, which is far better than it has been. I can highly recommend them to any of you who suffer from Plantar Fasciitis.

Great value and excellent support!
These are virtually identical to Vionic/Orthaheel Active insoles at about half the cost, so if you like those insoles, then you will love the ViveSole version. As a matter of fact, I wore one of each brand for a day to see if I noticed any difference, and there was no perceivable difference between the two. As others have mentioned, these insoles are very firm, and if you're not accustomed to that level of support, they can be very uncomfortable at first, so wearing them for short durations and then gradually extending the time is recommended. Although I normally wear custom orthotics, these are a great alternative for shoes that I don't wear everyday. They provide excellent support to prevent my plantar fasciitis from flaring up, and provide just the right amount of cushion to allow them to be comfortable without being squishy which would compromise the support. Overall, a great product for people who need an extra supportive insole!

Saved me $300
I have a bone spur and have severe heel pain when I walk for a period of time. I can not even do a full grocery shopping trip without having this pain. I purchased these insoles and immediately put them in my shoes. I noticed at first that they were uncomfortable, the insole was pressing on my arch and it just seemed hard. (Although I went to the store and noticed that my heel was not hurting.) I decided that these were not going to work, they were just too uncomfortable, so I made an appointment to go see my Dr. to get a referral to a podiatrist (my mother in law convinced me I need to have insoles custom made $300) At my Dr appointment I explained to my Dr that I had just purchased a pair of insoles. Although my heel was no longer hurting the insoles were uncomfortable and pressed too much on my arch. My Dr asked me if I took out the insole that came with the shoe. No, I hadn't! I took out the insoles and put the purchased one back in. Right away after placing my foot in my shoe it immediately felt better. The insoles were no longer pressing on my arch and it felt so much better to walk on. I went for a walk yesterday to see if my heel would hurt after walking a while, I was pleasantly surprised. No heel pain! I saved myself $300.Take away from this story.....take out the insole that came with the shoe before putting these insoles in.

Killed my feet
I normally do not like to leave one star reviews but I don't know what these things are. I thought I was getting some insoles to add cushion to my work boots with arch support. I made the mistake of pulling my old inserts out at home and threw these in my work boots. When I got to work I put them on and they were the most uncomfortable things I'd ever put in my feet into. It felt like two rocks underneath my heels. Even though they fit my boots perfectly, I trimmed the toes in hopes that I could slide the arch support, which was under my heels, forward so I wasn't standing on top of them. It did not help. These things are rock hard. The only cushion that is on them is the little green pad in the center of the heel and on the front. All the rest of the insole is rock hard plastic. Never in my life have I wanted to rip my shoes off faster when I got home from work. In the pictures I point out the real hard plastic that's underneath my heel. It's way too far back for arch support. If the heel was all cushioned and this arch support was farther forward underneath my actual Arch then maybe these things would have been okay but they get an F from me and I wasted my money

Very firm. Great for pronation issues. Caution with plantar faciitis use as the firmness can hurt !
These insoles are a little hard under the arch. So they remind me of a good custom made one I had once to correct pronation. trouble is it takes a lot to get used to the pressure so its not been ideal with my plantar fasciitis issue right now. And that's why I bought them. So I would rate them OK. I think they would be great for correcting pronation once you wear them in gradually. At the price they are super value for this. My custom made one was ~20x the cost. However, they have been difficult with my plantar fasciitis. Everyone is different, and perhaps I have a few things going on, but if your seeking some supportive cushioning then be cautious. They may suit and at the price are worth a try. So it's up to you. !
