Installation was a breeze
I have very little plumbing experience, so I was wondering how easy this installation really was. The only tough part was figuring out how to remove my old drop and lift stopper, which I had to watch a few videos for as there was a hidden screw under the lip which I would never have found without online help, and I guess they are all a bit different. So you can do this. Once I had the old one out, I put the correct washer on this stopper (there are two to choose from, I tried the small one first, and then the large one which took no time at all), put it in the drain hole and voila. Done. The pop-up mechanism works perfectly, looks great, and the quality seems good and heavy enough. I worried that it might slow the water draining, but it drains well. Most importantly, it completely covered the old drain ring which was a different color from all the other hardware in my bathroom. This item is a perfect fix for those of us who don't have a lot of plumbing experience.

It really is easy!
I am happy to say the EZ Drain Cover was very easy to install. The touch-activated stopper works as described. All I wanted was a decent tub-stopper that would not require drain removal and costly replacement.

It's All About The Water That Doesn't Drain
The drain cover is solid, installed easily and looks pretty. The problem comes when you drain the tub. First of all, it drains must slower than a real drain. And because it sits on top of the tub bottom rather than being recessed into it, about a half-gallon or so of water remains in the tub. It's nearly impossible to remove the water unless you sponge it out. After two weeks of bailing out our bathtub like it was a leaky rowboat, we hired a plumber to install a real drain and threw this faux drain into the garbage.

works great
had hard time finding something to fit my old heavy duty bathtub from back in 1954 when the house was built. this fits perfectly. It's not cat proof (my cat loves to pull it out and play with it) but when I want to take a bath, it fits, it keeps the water from draining, it's perfect.

Doesn’t stay plugged
Fit out drain perfectly but after a couple of uses when you push to plug it, it doesn’t plug… and when it does, it never in plugs! So we just ended up pulling the whole thing out each time.

Solves not having to replace drain
Your drain in probably rusted in place. This makes it so you don't have to do so.Watch out when removing that the oring doesn't come off when removing it so it doesn't go down the drain. It costs more than a new one of these if you order online.

Just what I needed
We have a drain in our bathtub that looks ugly, but my husband says it can't be removed in order to replace it. We bought a screw in drain cover from the hardware store, but it didn't fit. I thought there must be something that can solve this problem, and went searching. I found this, which the description says is just what it is for: unsightly drains that can't be removed! It comes with 2 different gaskets - I tried them both to see which worked, and it works great, solved my problem of the unsightly looking drain.
